I was given very detailed information about what the program would entail and was able to see a class in session before enrolling. As my son completes pre-k in a few weeks, I have to give a shout out to Ms. Mayte and the team (especially Ms. Seena and Ms. Miriam) for all they have done for us. My son started the school year pretty shy and apprehensive and has blossomed into a bubbly and social preschooler. It's been an amazing thing to see. The school gives us regular updates throughout the week on the Brightwheel app and anytime I've had any questions or needed some time to chat, I would hear back from his teachers promptly. We get photos through the app as well that are always exciting. Sometimes it's a snap of playtime, a celebration, or completing a milestone and receiving kudos. Along with the basics of letters and numbers, my son has gotten to learn about different cultural holidays and has loved telling us what he's learned. He always seems to be doing a new activity and doing the half day program has definitely been the right choice for our family. Ms. Mayte took the time to really get to know our son and has been instrumental in all areas of his development this year. I can only hope that he will continue to have great teachers for the rest of his academic journey!

For a long time it was excellent: strong academics, caring teachers, and a nurturing Montessori environment. We recommended it to everyone. Since the change in leadership, our experience has changed dramatically. Our older son, an excellent student liked by teachers and classmates, had a difficult and negative final year. The warmth and support we once counted on was gone. In our experience, the current leadership is dismissive toward parents, inflexible, and has no clear or constructive approach to discipline, especially for boys. Communication felt one-sided, with little respect for families who have supported the school for years. When concerns came up, the attitude was "my way or the highway" rather than working with families. The teachers we knew over the years were dedicated and kind, and that makes this decline more disappointing. I hope the school's board takes a hard look at its direction. Until things change, I can't recommend it to families looking for a supportive, respectful partnership.
