My kids have been coming here for 3 weeks or so and so far they are loving it!…read more The teachers are very attentive and my children come home everyday excited and tell me about all the fun activities they did! This has been a great fit so far for my girls and I couldn't be anymore thankful. The staff is amazing and very helpful with questions I have and make sure to answer them. Everytime my husband picks them up he says they are always laughing and smiling or dancing! If you are nervous about putting your child into a preschool/daycare I would recommend them! They have been amazing I can't wait to see the progression my preschooler makes here!

WARNING TO PARENTS OF AUTISTIC AND SPECIAL-NEEDS CHILDREN: I WOULD NOT ENROLL MY CHILD AT KIDS…read moreACADEMY IN MANTECA. They may seem sweet, welcoming, and accommodating from the outside, but my experience once my autistic son actually needed disability-related support was completely different. My son is autistic and has a history of elopement. While he was at Kids Academy, staff opened the playground gate to allow other children who were arriving to enter. When that gate was opened, my son eloped through it. That is terrifying for the parent of an autistic child. What happened afterward made the situation even worse for me. Instead of feeling like the adults responsible for supervising him were taking accountability for how he was able to get through an opened gate, my experience was that the responsibility was essentially placed on my CHILD. He was then told he was no longer welcome back at the daycare. So let me understand this: an autistic child with an elopement risk gets through a gate while STAFF are opening it, and the solution is to kick the autistic child out? Absolutely not. Where was the conversation about what could have been done differently? Where was the accountability? Where was the safety plan? Where was the discussion about additional precautions around the gate now that they knew they were caring for a child prone to elopement? Instead, my child was the one who was no longer welcome. And Miss Lisa was one of the biggest reasons this experience left such a horrible impression on me. I found her rude, judgmental, impatient, and incredibly unpleasant when it came to dealing with my child's needs. Her attitude and facial expressions spoke volumes. As a mother, I could SEE when my child was being viewed as a problem rather than as a little boy with a disability who needed additional support. My question for Miss Lisa is simple: if you cannot regulate your own frustration, attitude, and emotions around an autistic child who is struggling, how are you supposed to help that child regulate theirs? YOU are the adult. He was the child. My son wasn't being "bad." He wasn't giving anyone a hard time for fun. He is autistic. Elopement is a real safety concern for many autistic children. The adults responsible for caring for these children need to understand that and have appropriate supervision and safety procedures in place. What also did not sit right with me was what I perceived as a completely different level of understanding and accommodation when special-needs children were connected to people who worked there. Apparently patience and accommodation can exist when it's convenient. I just didn't feel my child was afforded that same grace. And that is exactly why I'm writing this. Parents of autistic children often have to trust other adults with children who cannot always come home and clearly explain what happened, who said what, or how they were treated. Pay attention to how people treat your child when your child's disability becomes inconvenient for them. Anyone can smile at enrollment. Anyone can tell you they work with special-needs children. The real test is what happens when your child actually exhibits the behaviors associated with their disability. I saw what happened when mine did. He eloped after a staff member opened the gate. Nobody took accountability in a way that satisfied me. My autistic child was ultimately the one told he could not come back. That told me everything I needed to know. I would NEVER send my child back here, and I would not recommend Kids Academy to parents looking for genuinely autism-friendly or special-needs-inclusive childcare. Parents, please do your homework. Ask specifically about elopement. Ask how gates are secured during arrivals and departures. Ask what happens if your child becomes dysregulated. Ask how they accommodate disability-related behaviors. And most importantly, watch how they treat your child when your child requires more patience than everyone else. Because being "special-needs friendly" isn't about being nice when everything is easy. It's about how you treat the child when things are hard.

I can't say enough about this daycare. I don't write a ton of reviews, but this place has been so…read morewonderful to my child and my family. I've been so grateful for how much love and care they have shown my child. I really love Bin's play-based philosophy at the daycare and how she tries to introduce fun things to also get them to learn - for example, sometimes she lets them play with the flour she uses to make noodles and dough to make bread (yes! she loves baking and sometimes makes noodles and bakes them bread from scratch!), and then they learn about textures, like stickiness, and how things change with temperature. When they were baking bread, for example, she let the kids pick off their own sizes for the bread and them let the families take home the results to eat at home (very cute to have tiny little lumps of bread that we ended up dipping in Nutella). They are so loving to the kids. Bin even threw a birthday party for my son on his birthday - she made cupcakes with fruit (strawberries, watermelon and made him a little birthday crown, and they celebrated with the other kids around a table and she took a bunch of pictures for me. I've seen her do this for the other kids as well. They are Mandarin-immersion, which is absolutely wonderful - the majority of the kids there at this time do not speak Mandarin at home, but they've learned so much and it seems like they understand everything the teachers tell them or ask them. In terms of space, based on my own visits to other daycares, I found this place to be extremely clean, thoughtfully laid out, with two large play rooms and an eating area as well as a really wonderful outdoor space with play structures, where the kids can get sunshine. If the situation allows, Bin and the teachers also take the kids to a nearby playground to have a change in scenery and also see what is going on outside of the daycare. I am particularly happy about this aspect since it's hard sometimes raising kids in an urban environment to get outside - but the location of Babytree is such that there are several great places nearby, and so it's good they can take advantage of that. Bin is overall an incredibly thoughtful, and kind person, and so are the other teachers. I really trust them with my child, and I am so grateful for having found her!

Baby Tree Daycare is simply the best…read more The teacher to student ratio is ridiculously low at 1:2. This ensures your LO gets enough attention. 3 nutritional meals plus snacks are included. Organic Omega-3 whole milk is also included. They provide homemade food that's freshly cooked daily. They use organic indigence whenever possible. No worries if your LO is allergic to certain food, they'll prepare customized food for him or her. All teachers take really good care of babies and smaller kids, they are caring, loving and friendly. The supervisor ensures that all care givers keep up-to-date on immunizations. Awesome outdoor activities. Outdoor time is an everyday thing if weather allows. In their huge backyard, various play houses allow kids to play and learn. Additionally they take trips to nearby playgrounds and/or libraries several times a week. Safety is not a concern to us because of their low teacher to student ratio. Your LO will learn Mandarin in the class! My LO can speak basic conversational Chinese now. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Baby Tree Daycare. Highly recommend!
