I will never forget my experience at Beyer. This was the high school I attended before Enoch's…read moreopened up. I will never forget how the school counselors doubted my future and told me that there was no way for me to move up to CP classes. All they told me was that I was stuck in regular classes and they wouldn't move me up nor did they even try to help me move up. I was just sent away with no direction given. At Enoch's, I worked hard and earned good grades and the counselors gave me the encouragement I needed to believe in myself. At Enoch's, they helped me and led me in the right path and moved me up to CP classes. At Beyer, all I felt was doubt in my future. Enoch's gave me hope and opportunity. Now, I am proud to say that I am a nurse.

I have to this date, never encountered so many genuinely friendly and helpful young people. NAMI Stanislaus, The National Alliance on Mental Illness is the non-profit, grassroots organization I was volunteering for to get the word out about NAMI On-Campus, a NAMI supported program, student organizational group here at Enochs Highschool. This student-ran with adult supervision group provides outreach for the young students in supporting mental health, speaking about it, and stamping out the stigma which can accompany it for the young. The students got along and many were dressed up in 70's Disco Era clothing which looked great and authentic as at their lunch break, they mingled, visited our table full of informational stuff and complimentary items. All the teachers and school personnel I encountered were professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The campus and the landscaping were very well maintained and welcoming. This is a very well maintained & super clean school.

Last year we both went at different times to pick our son up and we were both told that we cant come an hour before school ends it's to early! Makes no sense we were late to our appointments because of this. Even the staff and vanguard were shocked when I told them. This year they changed it i guess and claimed it was never like that well I'm not sure but it happened to us both on separate occasions. Also they called me to pick up my child but my child wasn't even in the office when i got there still had to wait for them to walk up to the front. And they make parents wait outside I understand it's for Stafety but if it's raining or cold who wants to stand in the rain there's nothing to stand under. Really my problem is with the office staff especially the one who I'm assuming is the receptionist she's so rude the one with the long black hair. I'm really considering not returning my student next year I don't want to deal with rude staff.

The police department was not too far considering this school is a couple of blocks away from downtown. However, there's a bunch of druggies around the school. Homeless people, gangbangers, weirdos, you name it made the environment less safe. TLDR: good school, terrible neighborhoods.

The compassion from the teachers could improve…read more I have a disabled student who attends here & when other kids have been mean or bullied my child through out the school year it's seems as if the only way they want to solve the issue is by calling the parent of the disabled child or the child who is being bullied. I've spoke to the principal, teachers, yard staff & it's always the same thing.. your child is so sweet & we adore "them" we'll address the issues with the other student. It's even got to where my child was crying & plaeding with me not to make her go because kids call em stupid or make fun of em...When I asked if they even advocate for disabled children that are school or taught their students that they have disabled kids among them even in normal class rooms their response was "no, we don't like to broadcast those type of things" not realizing how high the percentage of children with learning disabilities is these days. I absolutely can not stand this schools way of handling situations, or lack of compassion towards disabled children!! The only nice person at that school seems to be the front office clerks..
