I returned the following day for an update and was told they hadn't contacted me because they thought someone else in the office had. The lack of communication and urgency regarding a report involving a child's safety was extremely concerning. I was never given a clear explanation of what happened or even told which teacher was involved. As a parent, that experience was upsetting and left me with very little confidence in the daycare's ability to handle serious concerns appropriately. I also found some staff members to be unapproachable and unhelpful throughout our time there, and they often gave the impression that they did not enjoy being there. The only positive aspect was the convenience of the location in our neighborhood. Otherwise, based on my personal experience, I would encourage parents to carefully consider other childcare options if communication, cleanliness, accountability, and their child's well-being are priorities.

Maybe if they paid their teacher more then maybe they could keep kids in every classroom and have enough to run the school without charging outrageous amounts to care for children. She left him to cry for 30 minutes in his crib, which, apparently, their policy is it's okay to leave them to cry for 15 minutes to "self soothe". I don't know any five month old who self soothes just being left and ignored, but regardless, he was left twice as long as their policy allows. When I called to express my concerns, his crib was moved off camera the following day. They attempted to gaslight me and said that it was "coincidental" that that happened after my complaints. Admin blew me off every time I called with concerns and "diagnosed" me with Postpartum Anxiety, which I do not have. Admin told me they have never had any complaints about this specific teacher before, which after speaking to other parents of Tutor Time, I know is not true. I pulled my son out of this daycare after three weeks. The final straw was seeing them leave his bib on after feeding him, laying him on the floor to play, and I saw him visibly being strangled by the bib on livestream. He has always been a very shy kid, and school experience was challenging for him. All the school staff were extremely attentive and helpful during his transition period. His first teacher, Ms Megan, always hugged him when he came and spoke in soft voice to make him feel comfortable. I was amazed how my son changed in the school. I couldn't believe my eyes when after a couple of months I saw him running from the car to go to school! It's also impressive to see all creative and development activities they do. My son learned all his letters and numbers, he learned shapes and colors even before going to the next age group. Most importantly, he learned to love making art and create! Ms Crystal and Ms K from his next age group are incredible, they both know each child very well and have individual approach to each of them. We had to leave the school after moving to another state, and now I have a very challenging task to find another place with such a warm and loving atmosphere and great teachers, like in Goddard School in Concord.

We sent our kids to Forrestal from 2016 through 2020, withdrawing them when COVID hit like so many…read moreothers. Forrestal has some great aspects - terrific playgrounds, nice and clean classrooms, a separate cafe for older kids to begin adjusting to eating in a cafeteria as they transition to kindergarten, and camera access for parents to check in on their kids. The true highlight for us, though, was Chef Jake. He is the reason so many parents stick with Forrestal, even when other aspects might be lacking. His food was delicious and nutritious, and he set the stage for both my kids to have sophisticated palates. (They ate the Caesar tilapia every time!) We also loved their annual fall festival, where kids dressed in costumes and played while the parents got to enjoy Chef Jake's food and socialize. I wish Chef Jake offered catering or had a cookbook. However, not everything was rosy. Administrative staff and the daycare owners could improve their communication and work on management skills - there is noticeable and disappointing attrition/turnover among teachers (even pre-COVID). I always felt like I knew what was coming in my kids' classrooms - what the weekly theme was, when school would be closed - but it was hard to get staff to explain basics like what you could bring to school for your kid in each class (a blanket, a lovie, a water bottle?) and often their responses were rude. The weekly newsletters were a jumbled mess of information to decipher. This facility is on the pricy side as compared with others in the area, and so I'd expect a better experience on the communication front. They're also not spectacular at accommodating different dietary needs for kids at the school - I'd love to see them offer a vegetarian option, for example - but that improved over time so I'll give them credit for improving. That said, I always knew my kids were safe and happy there. I liked the convenience of the location and knowing that other kids at the facility lived nearby so birthday parties and play dates were feasible. Most of the teachers were wonderful and kind, and my kids really did learn a lot there. It was more than a daycare - they focused on education as opposed to just letting kids sit around and watch videos all day.

The following day, I attempted to provide pre-portioned formula and water as a backup, but was told this was not allowed due to state law. While I understand policies exist for safety, this left me uneasy given the previous incident. I also observed what appeared to be a lack of attentiveness regarding illness. I overheard a parent expressing concern about their baby being sick, and on a separate occasion noticed a baby with visible symptoms (such as a runny nose on their clothing). This made me question how illness is being managed and whether precautions are taken to limit spread among infants. I also observed staff stepping over babies on the floor rather than walking around them. Books were kept in a cabinet behind the front desk and not accessible in the classroom, and I did not observe babies being read to or engaged in developmentally appropriate activities. On one occasion, I saw a baby playing with a small plastic storage container, which raised safety concerns. Additionally, babies appeared to spend extended time (30+ minutes) in container seats, which felt excessive. The school offers camera access with a clear view of the classroom, but it is limited to 30 minutes per parent and does not include audio. From what I consistently observed, the routine seemed to focus on feeding, changing, and placing babies on the floor for independent play. The environment felt rushed at times--more focused on managing the babies than nurturing and engaging them. I also had a small but telling experience where my daughter was changed out of her outfit before I could even leave the parking lot, and I was told staff did not have time to put outfits like that back on. I would recommend sending infants in simple clothing like sleepers. Lastly, there is no online billing portal. Payments are automatically withdrawn weekly using bank information, and statements are not issued until the end of the month, which lacked clarity. Due to my concerns, I ultimately withdrew my daughter before the required two-week notice period. This may be a good fit for families seeking a clean, basic daycare environment. However, for those looking for a more enriching, nurturing experience--especially at this price point--it may fall short. I do believe there is potential, but the level of care and engagement did not align with my expectations. The…read morecustomer service is trash; they seem completely unaware that we are paying customers and act as though they're doing us a favor. They've asked for grace through the opening process. The cameras in the classrooms not working appropriately, the safety mechanism on the door not working properly, the opening of the business being pushed back. With that being said, grace is not returned. We tried to drop our 2 month old off today 19 minutes past the "cut off time"- which is 9:30am and she was turned away. First of all, having a cut off time at a daycare that's open from 6-6 is ridiculous, my schedule is flexible and sometimes i don't start until later in the day and prefer for her to be with me instead of at daycare. With that said- we realize that is the rule and should have read their terms closer and paid attention- unfortunately we did not- but when you're open for a few weeks and constantly asking for understanding, you'd think you'd be able to reciprocate. Also, she's 2 months old and our first child. What if there's traffic? What if she throws up on us on the way out the door and we have to change her? We cant drop off our child without a DOCTORS NOTE after 9:30 in the morning? Is that a joke? We have to take a day off work because we were 20 minutes "late" to a place we pay to care for our child from 6-6? The director is a cold, unaccommodating, unhelpful piece of the the business. While trying to use their entrance software, which does not work properly, she sits through the door watching us struggle instead of offering help. Once we finally get into the building and explain the issue we're having, she looks at us like we're speaking a foreign language, despite two seconds later being told by another employee that the system had been doing exactly what we were describing all day. She's standing there when we walk in 19 minutes past their cutoff time and instead of offering any understanding about how hard it is to be new parents during this adjustment period, she just turns and walks away without a word. We've picked up our daughter multiple times with crusty vomit in her hair, having eaten 8oz in an 8 hour period, with poop up her back and past her belly button. Watching on the cameras as she's placed in her crib for a vast majority of the day- that is when the cameras are even working. For a company that's just starting out, trying to establish their place in the community with something as important as our children, you'd think it would be all KIND hands on deck- ESPECIALLY in the beginning. Instead we get attitude. In my opinion, they act as though there's no other place in town that takes children and that we're lucky to be there and not as though we are the consumers who are paying their salaries and keeping the lights on. If the behavior continues, good luck filling your rooms.
