They exceeded all expectations, and I am realizing what childcare SHOULD be like compared to the old daycare. Dogwood excels in the following areas that I find important: Communication: The staff is prompt to communicate on all platforms, through the app, email, and phone. Food: they send out the weekly meal plan, and it's always healthy and nutritious food that my son loves. He's a 99th percentile guy, and so he eats a lot and is never hungry when I pick him up (unlike our old daycare). He probably eats better than me most days here! Staff: I can't say enough great things about the management and teachers here. From the moment we walk in, there's a smiling face at the front desk available to help with anything we need. The teachers clearly love what they do, my son loves them so much. After a year of challenging drop off and pickups with tears at the old place, it's refreshing that there hasn't been a bad handoff since the 2nd week. He even tried to go back in after picking him up he likes it so much. Facility: it's a beautiful facility and CLEAN!! Ample parking, and well thought out. Photos: I have received photos every day, to me this is important as the old daycare I was lucky to get 1 photo a month. They even put little text with it sometimes. This makes going to work and leaving my son at school a lot easier. To summarize this very long review, Dogwood is excellent and my only regret is not coming here sooner. We do drive 10 minutes further because we feel the level of care our son receives is worth it.

We appreciate the constant communication when it comes to sickness, staffing and/or procedure changes. -pictures and updates via procare app are very convenient - great teacher to child ratio with floating staff to help each room. -meal plan is fresh ,healthy and unique -curriculum is thought out and planned in advance. One on one activities. -the facility is extremely clean! We would highly recommend !

I am not sure where these other vile comments and reviews have come from, but if you have a moment…read moreto read on the divine impact S&E childcare development center had on my child, I would encourage you to read my entire review! From the perspective of a mother whose child ABSOLUTELY THRIVED and continues to be a scholar among his peers in elementary school, I can't express how excellent the care and academic RIGOR is at S&E childcare development center. My child started at 18 months and stayed until he started Kindergarten. S&E childcare development center poured into my child spiritually, emotionally, and academically. Not to brag, but my child left S&E childcare development center beyond ready for Kindergarten, to a point where he scored 1st and 2nd grade levels on reading and math during his kindergarten year. I can't tell you how many friends and family members are in awe of how articulate, intelligent, and confident my child is. All of these characteristics were instilled in him as a collaboration of the work of S&E and partnership with us at home. In reference to the waitlist, S&E childcare development center continues to have a waitlist, because once your child is in their care, you will NEVER want to leave! When I became pregnant with my second child, I notified the director while only a few months pregnant, bc there is no other choice for our family than S&E for childcare! I could go on and on about how much I truly love S&E childcare development center, but I know this review is getting long. I will end by saying, S&E childcare development center is not only an EXCEPTIONAL development center, but a safe haven for your child to be loved like family, and where you as a parent, will have complete peace of mind!

It's not just a daycare; it's a magical wonderland where our child's dreams come to life every single day. From the moment we first visited, we were blown away by the warmth, love, and professionalism of the staff. The facility is immaculate, with vibrant, colorful spaces that instantly spark creativity and joy. The classroom is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of the children, filled with engaging toys, books, and learning materials that cater to their curiosity and growth. The staff at S&E Child Development Center are nothing short of extraordinary. Ms. Shana is incredibly attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of the children. They've taken the time to truly understand our child unique & 'fun' personality, nurturing her strengths while gently guiding her in areas where she needs extra support. The level of communication with parents is phenomenal; we receive daily updates, photos, and videos that allow us to stay connected to our child's day-to-day experiences. The curriculum at S&E is simply outstanding. It offers a perfect balance of play and structured learning, focusing on building social skills, creativity, and a strong foundation for early academics. We've watched our child blossom under their care, coming home each day with an infectious excitement for learning. What truly sets S&E Child Development Center apart is the sense of community they foster. They regularly organize fun events, such as themed parties, which make us feel like we're part of a big, supportive family. The center's commitment to health and safety is also exceptional, with top-notch security measures and a focus on healthy eating--even though my little one was not a fan of veggies. In short, S&E Child Development Center has been everything we could have hoped for and more. It's a place where our child is not only safe and cared for but is also encouraged to explore, learn, and grow in the most loving and nurturing environment imaginable. We couldn't be happier with our choice, and we wholeheartedly recommend S&E Child Development Center to any parent looking for the very best in child care. Five stars aren't enough!

ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center on Seventh Street downtown to name just three. Each has specialties that make them individuals. The ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center collaboration between the library district and the Children's Theatre is a hands down wonder. While some libraries specialize in library things (games and toys) to engage kids and others specialize in library materials (books and puzzles), ImaginOn has it all ... including plays and story times. The library itself is free to enter, multi-story, newish, clean and easy to get to, with available parking that is free for 90 minutes with a stamped ticket. This facility absolutely had everything to stimulate kids of all ages ... probably 2 to 12 being the sweet spot. Do make a point of finding your way here for a visit someday ... you'll be glad you did. Highly recommended.

There is always some sort of craft, legos, toys and computers for her to play with/use. They also usually have monthly events and a theater. I prefer to download the CMLibrary app to keep up with events. We prefer to come here on the Saturday's but it's definitely more packed. It's about 40ish families at every session. They have a parking garage (under the library) which you can take the elevator directly into the library. They validate for 90 minutes. The issue is when it's full or days they have events parking can really be a pain. They may direct you to park at 7th street parking garage but they only validate after 5pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

Family First Household Staffing Agency - Leigh A., CEO and Family Navigator of Family First Travel Nannies.

Family First Household Staffing Agency

A Wonderful Agency You Can Grow With!…read more We have been extraordinarily happy with Ms. Leigh Roberson and her team since they began helping us before the birth of our first child in 2021. Ms. Roberson and her team have been wonderfully helpful not just with the initial nanny search, but with our continuing, ongoing child care needs of all kinds. Elspeth is a internal medicine physician who specializes in geriatrics. I'm a kids cancer and gene therapy doctor at Levine Children's. We both have the honor of trying to help patients struggling with severe and complicated medical challenges - often resulting in unpredictible and unexpected work hours and on-call weekends. And our medical training meant Elspeth and I didn't start having children until relatively late in our lives. When Elspeth and I were lucky enough to begin our journeys as parents, our own parents are too medically frail themselves to be able to help us with our newborn children, and our other family too far away. Ms. Roberson and her team have been incredibly supportive and helpful from the very, very beginning. Neither Elspeth nor I knew anything about hiring a nanny: Ms. Roberson walked us through every step, including helping us with arranging the necessary payroll, tax witholding, and health insurance paperwork to do it all right. Ms. Roberson helped us recruit nanny candidates from across the country with substantial experience, from which we selected J, our amazing nanny who has been our primary nanny ever since our first child was born and continues with us to this day. But more than that: Ms. Roberson also helped us recruit skilled, experienced and caring temporary newborn care specialists at the very beginning, to help us with the most time-intense early days of our baby's life (since again, we have no family nearby or medically able to help, and we both continued to have clinical duties throughout). Their expertise for us as brand new parents was extremely, extremely helpful. And in the years since, Ms. Roberson and her team has continued to routinely help us with substitute and last-minute nannies to help us, when our primary nanny got sick, or when clinical duties suddenly required unexpected weekends caring for patients instead of being at home with the kids. Having the help of Ms. Roberson and her team to provide caring, capable help whenever our patients needed our help, has given us great peace of mind as we take care of the patients who depend on us. I highly and strongly recommend Ms. Roberson and her team, not just as a service to recruit one's first nanny, but as an agency that can continue to help you with the entire continum of child care help. We are very lucky to have her and her team. Thank you, Leigh!
