Went on a tour Monday and told them I wanted the spot. I even offered to put a deposit down and was told that wasn't needed. I can pay all of that once he starts on the 30th. The director even told me she would prorate the week for me. I called on Tuesday to let them know that the doctor said it will take 3 days to fill out the physical. The director told me it was okay that they would hold his spot. She even confirmed his name, but called me by a different name. I was unsure why she assumed I was Lashanna but I continued on, On Friday, my mother in law asked to go see the place, the director refused to come out and speak to us. On Monday I called and asked to speak to the director and she was very rude. She told me she didn't care what she told me they didn't have a spot for him. I asked for her name and she hung up on me. I would love to speak to the owner of this establishment, and when I called to get that information I heard the director in the background saying don't give her any information. I understand you gave his spot to someone else but the rudeness was not okay. Business owners you got to do better in hiring these faces of your business. They can make or break them. UPDATE: I just got a call from the director threatening me to get her attorney involved cause I posted this review. She literally hung up on me and refused to give me any information but calls me back and threatens me. Wow!

We absolutely love Ms. Hailey, she always go above and beyond with my grandson's care! Everyone on the staff greets families with a smile and its authentic. They provide sessions with the children to learn their numbers and ABC's. My son is progressing better than I could have ever imagined and I would recommend this day care to anyone who wishes to leave their kids with a trust worthy staff of care givers. They also have Friday and Saturday night "Parents Night Out" which my wife and I have used several times. They provide theme nights and pizza nights along with a movie for the kids while the parents are out enjoying their time with one another. Even during the school year, the afterschool teachers were so attentive and helpful. They were literally a home away from home. My little brother absolutely loves Ms. DeeDees and loves telling me, all the wonderful adventures he's experienced in his day. I would recommend this Afterschool and summer camp program to anyone. My wife works at a different Child Development Center but she couldn't start until August. The staff, from the front desk to the classrooms, have been nothing short of spectacular. Diann, Kim Michelle and Angela, her teachers have been great and made these super apprehensive parents feel good. The daycare is located in a residential neighborhood but is a center, not an in-home daycare. Shirley's is a clean, safe, kid friendly, creative environment that uses a positive approach to discipline with many things for children to do. Shirley provides the children with wonderful lunches and snacks. I have worked in a daycare before that was a 5 star and I prefer Shirley's to the 5 star center I worked in or others I visited when I selected Shirley's for my daughter. Shirley is up front that the highest rating her daycare can receive is a 3 star due to her not having a B-K degree but Shirley and her staff have all the appropriate credentials.My dauhter loves Shirley's so much she will often ask to go while I am out on summer vacation! If you want a daycare that is affordable, fun for the children, with a caring friendly staff, I highly recommend Shirley's Daycare as do many other families. Many families have had children in Shirley's Daycare now for 2 generations. Other families have had one child in Shirley's and when that child goes to school and they have another child, the families return with their new babies to Shirleys. I know if I have another child, my child will go to Shirley's Daycare!

When partnering with the staff, schedules at home & school are organized, potty training is a bit more tolerable and consistently doing the homework (homework starts in the 3 year old class) really prepares the child for Kindergarten. If you've had a poor experience here it's not the staff's fault. They've had some of the same teachers for over 8 years. Work WITH the team that is in place as a partnership and you'll have no issues.

Early child development includes teaching children guidance. The teachers don't feel like putting in the work; even with a bachelors degree (Remember, a "D" is passing). Save your time, money and PTO at work by choosing another daycare. Their rates are too ridiculous to pay...for non motivated teachers!
