Shibuya Spicy Ramen
Tiffany L.

Brand new Shibuya Ramen restaurant just opened up in Marietta. It's located in the same plaza as Kung Fu tea in Chastain Meadows. I did try to come here during soft opening, but I realized they actually close from 2:30 to 5pm. They reopen at five for dinner. I was a little surprised to see that this place was self serve. When you first walk in there are two big digital ordering stands. I liked that almost all the food had a picture, so it was easier to order. When you order your food, make sure you pick a stand with a number on it and put it on your order because they will bring the food to you. There is a little station for chopsticks, spoons, small plates & water. It is near the Ramen bar. I really liked my Ramen. It had a lot of flavor. Slightly salty, but it was really good. I got the Shibuya spicy Ramen, I ended up asking for more chili oil because I like it on the spicy side. My favorite part of the Ramen was the pork Char Siu. It was so juicy, but you could definitely still taste the char flavor off the grill. My Ramen didn't come with the seaweed, but I'm assuming they just ran out. I loved the ramen egg! I do prefer a jammier yolk and theirs was a little on the runnier side. However, the flavor on them was amazing. Typically when I get Ramen in Atlanta, the egg doesn't have that much flavor so I was very surprised. My friend got the veggie Ramen, and I loved that her noodles were actually green. The Ramen really incorporated veggies. One thing I will say I wish they had was Kae Dama, I ended up running out of Ramen, but I had excess broth. I would've loved to be able to top off with more Ramen. This is really popular at a lot of Ramen joints, I really think you guys should add this to your menu! The appetizers was so good. I especially love the Shibuya shrimp pop, because there was really big chunks of shrimp in it. They serve it with sweet chili sauce, but I think it would taste better with spicy aïoli or Yum Yum sauce. I actually ate it dunking into my Ramen broth. The veggie patties were okay, basically a veggie stuffed croquette. But the veggie potato ratio was not even. They served this with Katsu sauce. The restaurant is not huge, they have 3 big booths & a couple rows of small tables. It's a really good place to grab a quick bite for dinner. The food came out pretty fast. I definitely think I would come here again. I really enjoyed the Ramen, which is kind of the star of this restaurant lol. They do have other options like rice bowls if you guys are not really into Ramen. I also definitely recommend getting an appetizer because they were delicious!

Ordered my ramen with tofu and the tofu was ice cold and unseasoned/uncooked. It was really unappetizing and I didn't even eat it ! The flavor of the broth was ok but nothing extraordinary, probably wouldn't be back

This place was fine but the ordering and cleaning up could use some explanation. First off, kind of weird that the ordering is just 2 kiosks and any human help is at the back of the restaurant. Even McDonald's has people taking orders next to the kiosks. The food was fine, albeit on the pricier side. At the end of the meal we knew we had to clean up on our own but it was unclear how much they wanted us to break down the trash and bowls on the trays before putting it on the rack. Overall, I feel like some additional instruction would be helpful. There's a lot of ramen places in this area and I'm just not sure this one differentiated itself enough to make me want to come back.

Love this new self serve ramen place in kennesaw! The tonkatsu curry was really good and the ramen as well! All the appetizers we got were great too, for a quick service place, this place excels! Food came out quick and hot- no complaints!

Good flavor ramen. Not too pricey compared to other spots. The staff is very friendly and quick.

Cool joint. No frills self service. Order and pay upon entry. Ramen is really good. Broth is amazing. Folks who work here are really nice. Love this place for a quick meal.

Stopped by today for 50% off during the soft opening! The interior has a cozy vibe with three booths and several tables. You order yourself at the kiosks, choose your own table, and the staff brings out your food. The staff was all very friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. I tried the fried squid appetizer, Shibuya Signature Ramen, Curry Katsu Rice, and Beef Udon. The food was very flavorful, but the only thing was the texture of the bottom of katsu wasn't crispy.

Quaint little ramen shop that newly opened in the area. The food is amazing (my favorite is the dry ramen) and since it's a self service restaurant, everything is super straightforward. I can't wait to be back and try their other ramen. You'll have to give it a try!

Signature ramen

First time here and it was great. It's a seld service place where you order your food on the tablets in front and they bring it to you. The atmosphere is very cute. All the decor is neatly places and looks amazing. It's simple yet elegant. The staff are super friendly and full of smiles. We are a noodle loving family and this spot is a great find. We'll be back with the rest of the family. Here's what we ordered: edemame (classic), salmon onigiri (so delicious), shibuya signature ramen (flavorful), and the spicy shibuya ramen (delectable). We'll be back real soon.

Ice cream

Very nice environment and great Japanese music! The staff was super friendly, way beyond my expectations. I enjoyed the food. Just a note, the dashi broth was on the sweet side so don't order it thinking it's salty. I got the pork gyoza, shrimp udon and the taiyaki ice cream.

There are plenty of parking space. This is a self-serve ramen place. Basically order the food at the kiosk, grab your own utensil/water/paper towel, then wait for the food to be serve by the staff, and after you finish with the food you will bring the tray to their cleaning station. The food are quite good. Their spicy ramen is actually spicy, I wish there was an option to adjust the spice level. The ramen is salty with a hint of sweetness, which I quite like. The appetizer are excellent. Their curry is questionable, it is not bad but when I make Japanese curry at home it is tend to be sweeter... while here it is purely the saltiness...? But I never been to Japan so not sure if this is actually more authentic... thus I have no comment...

Loved the convenience and the food! The service was very fast and friendly. I would definitely come back again!

Shibuya Signature Ramen

Shibuya Ramen was a wonderful stop while around Marietta. The restaurant was very neat and clean, and ordering was very simple. All of the staff were very friendly as well. The signature ramen was definitely fantastic, with a rich tonkotsu paired with the sweet and sticky chashu. The star of the show was the soft-boiled egg. Rich, jammy, and perhaps one of the best cooked soft-boiled eggs I've had in ramen. The shrimp pops was very crispy and well cooked, but just average quality shrimp makes it yummy but not amazinggg. Awesome overall!

However, if there are nearby events or special promotions, finding available parking may be challenging. Customers can park farther away and walk MSM, though. Momoiro is a very popular food vendor in the food hall, and there seems to be a constant line of customers waiting to either order food or to pick up their orders. The menu is rather simple, with categories that include ramen, rice bowls, bao buns, sides, nigiri, drinks and one type of dessert. Customers go to the order counter to order, wait around to pick up their order, then, if they don't do take out, find a place to eat inside or outside the food hall. We waited in a long line, but it took us about 15 minutes of standing in line before we were able to place our orders. Service was patient, quick and efficient, though, and it took us only about 5 minutes for our food to be ready. We didn't walk that many steps away from Momoiro; there was an indoor dining area tucked away in the back away from the main dining area, and there were lots of empty tables that filled up quickly after we sat down. I dug into my delicious Tonkotsu Ramen, which included chashu pork, pork base, pork broth, scallions, nori, blackened garlic oil, fried garlic and seasoned egg. All of the flavors and textures complemented each other, and the ramen was cooked perfectly. I loved the taste of the chashu pork, but I wish that it was cooked just a little more. The egg was cooked perfectly to that fine point when the yolk has that just slightly jelled consistency that melts in your mouth. This dish had a good tasting broth. R enjoyed his Beef Don rice bowl, which included beef, steamed white rice, pickled cucumber and radish, scallions, bok choy, fried garlic, nori and seasoned egg. I also shared with R a spam onigiri that was a rice ball with a slice of spam all wrapped with nori seaweed. This was ok; the sauce used in it was just a little sweeter than I prefer. All portion amounts were good. We rarely make it to this part of Marietta, but we would return to Momoiro Ramen for the food.

I think it's because of the accessibility of a nice size bar. The other locations I've gone to do not have a bar. The Kennesaw location is located in a plaza with several other establishments. There's plenty of parking. This establishment is a little bit smaller than some of the other others, but they do work very swiftly and it does stay packed, especially on the weekends. My most recent visit was on yesterday as I had a day off and wanted to take time to unwind after my morning appointment. I arrived a little before noon. The bar area had only two people seated, and I was able to easily grab a seat as well. Alex was the bartender during my visit and he was extremely accommodating. My appetizer of choice: Pork Goyza My entrée of choice: Spicy chicken Ramen with extra spice and an egg Initially, I started off with a Coke zero but then said heck why not I'm off today so I indulged in a lychee martini and switched it up to a Ringo Mule (my new fave). It started to get a bit busy about 35 minutes because it was a work week and lunch hour, but it was not overwhelmingly packed. The staff worked very swiftly and greeted every single customer that came in and out. I enjoy this location. The ambiance is always very nice. There's always nice tunes playing and there's also TV is at the bar. Whether you're rolling solo or with a crew, JINYA is a nice little hangout spot. So if you're in the Kennesaw area, go check them out and thank me later. Bon appétit!
