Dr. Hawley is fantastic. I owe the beginning of my transition to her and an open and honest…read moreconversation. When we started talking about testosterone in the summer of 2017, it was very nonchalant. She was well informed about the best endocrinologist in town (Dr. Poorkay) and had her office facilitate getting me an appointment. She's also very quick to reply to direct messages on the Norton "mychart" website. If you've ever gone to a Norton facility and aren't using MyChart -- you should! Every appointment, message, test result, etc. is all kept kept there, electronically for you to access. It's also the quickest way to get in touch with your doc. Dr. Hawley replies to her own messages, which is pretty cool. Some Docs have nurses do the replying. Dr. Hawley and this Norton Healthcare office help to take the discomfort out of going to the doctor. Maybe it's because they are women, maybe it's because they are in the Highlands, maybe it's a bit of both, but I've typically felt really comfortable here. The front desk ladies are friendly and organized. The wait to get in to see the doc isn't too ridiculous (in terms of how long one typically waits). I think my wait today was 5 minutes. The lobby and offices are decorated with enlarged framed pictures of the Doctors' families. It's a clean and welcoming space. I often recommend this office and Dr. Hawley or NP Megan Ward to my friends. Unfortunately, they typically aren't accepting new patients. Once you're in though, you're in. It took me a long, long time to be an adult and find a primary care doctor -- this office and Dr. Hawley are exactly what I was looking for and well worth the wait.

Receptionist named Ashley was very rude. People like her shouldn't have a job in customer service…read more Doctors need to understand, the people they hire can have negative impacts to their practice!

Brain didn't get completely poked during COVID test. Five stars…read more In all seriousness, though, I have been very happy with my recent care at this Norton urgent care center. I had to go on Friday after my persistent cough and asthma hadn't improved, following a visit and lots of meds from my primary care doc. I couldn't get back into that office until next week for a follow-up, so to urgent care I went. First, I like that you're able to save your spot in line by booking over the Norton site. There was a two-hour wait when I wanted to go, but I was able to wait it out in the comfort of my home. And after I arrived at my designated time, I only had to wait 10 minutes or so before I was seen. All of the nurses were great. See my first sentence about the gentle COVID test. And the doctor or nurse practitioner who I saw also took the time to talk to me and gave me great care. I'll admit -- I always have somewhat low expectations of urgent care because in the past at other clinics I've been hastily cared for and sent on my way. But at this visit, I ended up getting a steroid shot and more intense breathing treatment to help me breathe better, a chest X-ray (clear, thankfully!) and a referral for the pulmonologist. It took me about two hours to receive my care, but that was because the staff was so thorough. While I hope I don't have to go to urgent care again, if I do, I won't hesitate to come here.

Very clean place with fast wait times. It is also close to audobon ER if needed. The service was…read morefriendly as well. They have a new touch pad for more patient information in the room now.

I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't had a primary care doctor for years…read more I can't recall the last time that I got sick enough to need a doctor, but that doesn't excuse it. So when I was in need of immunizations for an upcoming trip to India, I was in a bind. I called a couple offices under my insurance, and the soonest I could get in as a new patient would be months after my trip. That was the case when I called Norton Community Medical Associates in Mid City Mall too, but the clerk there was able to get me in the following morning due to a cancellation at their sister site on Barret Avenue. And that's how I met Dr. Ana Overley. She was quick and efficient. Chatting with me about my overall health needs, while also getting me what I needed for my trip, which ended up being three vaccinations and some malaria pills. I also appreciate that she didn't redo a bunch of basic dianostic tests and bloodwork that I just had done at my ob/gyn. She just asked that I get a copy and bring the results with the next time I come in. Done. She was easy to talk to and put me at ease. And the staff person, who gave me my shots, also deserves some commendation. I'm not a big fan of needles, and I did not feel the needles go into my arm. Fast and relatively pain-free -- that's what I want when I must get a shot. The office was also immaculately clean. The front desk staff was courteous. I feel better knowing that I now have a primary care office near my home I can rely on.

This is my 1st time reviewing a medical facility/staff. The experience was so ridiculous &…read moreunprofessional it brought me here. The front desk staff are BEYOND RIDICULOUS and should be out of jobs! Crystal & Shirley need to be fired. To start, Crystal (if that's her real name) created an issue for no reason whatsoever. I had a 9:15 am appointment. I arrived about 50 minutes early. Crystal felt it necessary to tell me TWICE that I may not be seen until my appointment time. There was only 1 other patient in the office... the rest of the scheduled appointment were all past 15 minutes LATE. When the tech guy came to the door to call patients back... Crystal called the tech guy over, and directed him specifically not to take me back because I was early and to make me wait. I have no idea what her problem was as all I did was check in and said said anything to her. Then after my appointment, as I was leaving, I went back to the front desk and was going to ask "Crystal" what her issue was. Well... she took off scurrying to the back when she saw me. I asked the other crotchety old woman at the desk what the woman's name was that just left and said I wanted to speak with her. That woman went to the back and came back and said "Crystal" couldn't talk... because she's with a patient. I said that's a lie. And the woman ... known now as "Shirley" yelled "are you calling me a liar?!" "Get out of my face! I'm calling security." I proceeded to tell her that "Crystal" is front desk staff and we both know she doesn't see patients. I asked that woman her name and she refused to give it at first. So, I continued to stand at the front window. She stated again that she was going to call security. I told her to call them. She got up from the desk and went to the back. Came back and told me her name was "Shirley". Both Crystal & Shirley are the most UNPROFESSIONAL "medical staff" I have ever dealt with in my life. They created an issue that was even there and then escalated what they created. Dr. Touma is good and will continue to have clients cause clearly there is a Endo crisis. But, whoever does the hiring & firing need to get rid of these 2 unprofessional idiots at the front desk.

If I could give zero stars I would. The front desk and reception staff is awful, unprofessional and…read morecompletely rude and disrespectful. None of them have any businesses working with humans in a customer service industry.
