Witnessed a customer after me being given very poor advice on what product to use. Sad, but common these days. Both aspects are common for JC Licht stores in my experience over the decades. Were they not the only brick and mortar source for the product I wanted, or if I needed advice, I would avoid them.

Then forgot all about the bathroom/wallpaper project as anyone would with surgery, etc. Contacted JC L recently only to be told that my cash was theirs/gone. This is the only business unwilling to make any concession given these circumstances. As longtime (we're talking 3 generations!) We had to repaint our entire home and while all the employees here helped guide me to the right tools and paints, I want to specifically shout out Dean. Dean literally went out of his way to set me up for success - he'd patiently stand with me while I looked for *just* the right color (I don't want to admit how long this sometimes took me) and offer up ideas or colors I hadn't considered yet, offer expert insights on painting techniques and styles, and help me choose the right materials based on my needs and preferences. All while maintaining a fun, easy going, yet professional demeanor. Dean is a shining star and I believe he elevates this already great store simply with his "A" game work ethic. In the past when I was renting an apartment, I'd alternate between Benjamin Moore & Sherwin Williams, depending on the color and distance to drive. From now on I'm only EVER coming to this store - that's how great my experience has been here.

One of those blinds failed in the very first summer we owned it. Since then, the company has been out to "repair" the same blind at least ten times. At one point, they shipped it back to Hunter Douglas, leaving us without a window treatment for two of the three months we actually live in the townhome each year. Despite the repeated failures, they have refused to replace the defective blind. Instead, they continue to send technicians out for the same problem, and after year 1 they charge us a service fee every single time. We have pleaded with them to stand behind their product and provide a replacement, but they clearly care more about billing for service calls than actually solving the issue. Their service approach can only be described as "we don't care about our customers." If you are considering using this company, my advice is simple: stay away.
