I bought a gallon of Emerald satin paint to paint my bathroom, to the tune of $80 with customer discount. I painted white, covering a very pale straw color. Currently, I am applying the 3rd coat in the hopes that it will finally cover. Even the cut in work with the brush required 2 -3 coats! I have painted many, many times, many, many rooms over the years, but this is the WORST paint I have ever tried to use. I probably should have taken it back. I, since, bought Sherwin Williams Infinity paint at Lowe's for another room, at almost half the price! It is going on beautifully and covering nicely. Never again will I purchase paint from Sherwin Williams. read more

Awful. They close at 4 most days due to a lack of staff. The staff that is there does not know how to match paint; they tried a few times, then essentially told me to drop dead after they could not match the color, refusing to refund my $70 (for ONE gallon of paint!). Go to Lowes/Home Depot for better service at half of the price. read more

The second time was less easy because we didn't bother to keep the bucket or make a note of its info before getting rid of it. Another mistake was not registering with the store which would have kept a record of our purchases. Lessons learned. Only one gal (Lisa) was working that afternoon, but she was super nice, knowledgeable, and patient. We were banking on the shop having our paint info so we walked in w/o any samples. We learned we were not in the system, so we talked w/ Lisa about how to get the best samples. All this might have been pretty obvious to anyone wanting to paint something a specific color, but we were exhausted that day and really wanted someone to just instruct us. Armed with ideas on how to get a good paint sample (one vertical, one horizontal) we left and returned several minutes later. Lisa was able to match the colors with high certainty and we were content to agree with her assessment. We bought a bunch of other items for deck painting and left w/ our purchases. While Lisa was helping us, she was also fielding phone calls and had partially helped 2 other folks with another guy patiently waiting. All throughout she was extremely polite and genuine. That girl was working HARD. Of course the weather hasn't been the best for a painting endeavor but at least we have our supplies at the ready.

As we live 40 minutes from Paducah I called the store to verify that they still had the piece put back for us. The girl who answered the phone could not have been more put out with dealing with me on the phone. She informed me that they do not put items back or on hold. She put me on hold and went to look for the item, but could not find it. So I asked her if she could check to see that they had the item in their inventory so that I could come pick it up. She told me they did, so I headed to Paducah. When I got there I asked if they could check on the item. It was amazing to me how little conversation they had with me and were not welcoming at all. It was a very cold transaction which is amazing to me as it is Christmas time and you would think that they would be happy to make a sale. Obviously they had the item and I was able to get out of there with it however a little more warmth would go along way with making for good customer satisfaction.
