My husband and father-in-law frequented this location several times during our house painting week . . . or weeks . . . I had the pleasure of accompanying them a couple of times. The old porch light fell victim today to a new front door installation. Hence the need to find a new mid-century modern light -- and quick -- because along with the installation crew is a stucco and brick repair crew that will be patching tomorrow. Due to the wider width on the fabulous new door -- and the narrower strip of brick remaining -- the fixture could only be 4-1/2" wide. At 5pm, what are the odds of being able to find the right thing before 9am the following morning? Well fortunately, it was NOT a problem! Capitol Lighting is a stocking dealer with an amazing showroom and very helpful staff. Lots and lots and lots of lighting eye candy! Wrote a complaint about defective handle that is extremely hard to pull. All of them at store were fine and easy. Kellie Executive Escalation Specialist wrote back and wanted to charge us for a new handle. She outright said many customers have had same complaint. She claimed it's not their fault, it's not defective, and she outright said there's nothing they can do about it. New handle would be $22 to $78 + tax + $14 handling fee. Plus labor $160/hr. Technician that came out had bad attitude from the start and said he couldn't do anything before even hearing us out or looking at technician chair. He dirtied the white leather with black finger stains, doesn't come off now. Plus the craftsmanship is so cheap!!! You can see buckles on the arm rests, the Siad is all bubbles, and the bottom cushion looks already used with just a few hours of sitting in it.
