I came here on a Monday afternoon and was surprised on how much product they had in the store. All the color samples and brushes you need. I had a color sample from Lowe's and the guy was able to match it perfectly. I went with the Benjamin Moore advance It runs about $93 a gallon total which is absolutely crazy but it goes on like glass. Can't wait to see The finished product of my very old But sturdy cabinets. The new car key fob was $200 less here than when I called the dealership for a quote. They had to special order my key fob but it came in within 5 days. They called me to pick it up and bring my car. I had a store experience so bad I will never use this Ace Hardware again. This took place at…read moreToole's Ace Hardware in Maitland (1607 S. Orlando Ave.). Yesterday (8/13) at around 4:15PM I bought a transformer from the store. Cost me $34. Unfortunately, it did not fit in the space I have. I took the item back today at around 12:00PM (8/14) with my receipt. I was told I could NOT get a refund for my item, even though I had my receipt. She didn't even open the box to check the item (I had repacked it the way it was sold to me). She asked her supervisor, and the supervisor also said no refund. The cashier told me there were no refunds on electrical items. I was not warned about this by the cashier when I bought the item. I was flabbergasted. I like to support local businesses, but that support only led this local business to spit back into my face. I will never use this Ace Hardware again. We will now make sure to go to the big box stores to guarantee we get a refund if something doesn't work, especially within the first 24 hours. I actually left the transformer with the cashier because I can't use it, and maybe someone else looking for one will be able to. I hope keeping my $34 was worth it to never have my business again.

There is also a good chance that you'll find something that you weren't looking for as well. They are generally well stocked in a variety of categories - whether you are looking for books, home decor, yard items or clothing they probably have something that you can use or want to buy. This is definitely a place where you could end up with a few impulse purchases if you're not diligent. Even with the appearance of chaos most things are always well-categorized so it is easy to determine what aisle or section of the store that you might find an item. The only interaction that I tend to have with employees would be at check-out. I don't think that I've ever seen anyone that works there walking around or stocking. I've never had a bad experience shopping here. Finally, most of the time the prices are reasonable, and you get what you pay for. I have noticed that sometimes bank and credit cards will have a cashback or discount option when shopping at Ollie's. Finally, the store is located in a shopping plaza that share a reasonably sized parking lot with other stores and a Buffalo Wild Wings.
