On a budget they have the best paints for a low price. Want the extra benefit of the top quality longest lasting. They got that too. If you come in off the street as a home owner they are not going to charge you 4x the price as some of the other stores will.

Parking is convenient as it's located in a small strip mall. The store itself offers an awesome color center with free samples and store personnel will assist you if needed. Additionally, paint supplies, including ladders, drop cloths, etc. are all available. Paint is meticulously mixed and if necessary even matched. I brought in a piece of an old handrail and the customer service folks were able to match the color perfectly! Pricing may be a little more than non-name brand paints, however, I have found that Sherwin-Williams paints hold up against a lot more punishment for both interior and exterior surfaces. I found and followed 3, yes 3 --- different methods to CLICK on a HD link to VIEW that contract, and.............. none did anything! Nothing. Hmmmmmmm So my next call was to Allstate themselves to inquire and request a copy emailed to me OR a working link to simply read it online. A nice gent got on the phone and basically said HE WAS NOT ALLOWED to send that out until I BOUGHT the warranty!! Wut? That's $150 for a freezer, a lot of money for an old Marine living on nothing and single. But I can't even READ the FINE PRINT real contract first so I don't have to go through cancelling and trying to get a refund? Does that sound like they have something to hide, to you? So.......... my next call was to my HD very close to me. I got a female asst mgr being later in the afternoon, and tell her what I'm looking for and does she have anything? She says NO, but says she'll ask the big boss the following day -- AND CALL ME BACK. I never even got the respect of a callback after spending many many thousands over the years at HD, living in an old house always needing repairs. And they are 6 blocks from me. My alert above is NOT about the Home Depot store itself as much as letting you know something may be lurking in their EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM! They sure do NOT want you/me/us to read it. Why? I did by the way, think it was classless of the asst mgr to not call back, and my guess is she looked into nothing, hung up from our call and forgot about it. Why bother, she likely thought. It's just a customer and I get paid anyway. This is how business today is done most places. I miss the days when people cared about doing a good job.

I went to Ace Hardware store and spoke to the manager and such a nice gentle man he is. He took his time to attend to me like I am his own son. Apparently it was missing a screw. It took us about 45 minutes but we got it working smoothly again. So he was going to charge me 85 cents for the screw and I felt a little indebted and asked him if they were doing any charity stuff I can donate to. He said yeah we are doing bucket sales which goes to charity. And I said bet. So now I have a working fan I only spent $5.91 to fix. What a rewarding moment it was for me in that store. I pray and wish him such goodwill and grace in life that he may find favor and obtain mercy in God's eyes.
