They also had flash frozen wild caught fish, shrimp, scallops and crab dips all prepackaged - @got_seafood_atlanta. This Week's Food Trucks were Mac Queen ATL, offering Baked, Fried and Vegan Mac & Cheese. Also serving lamb, shrimp, wings, crab cake bites and more - @macqueenatl. Fitzgerald Smoked Meats with Brunswick stew, pulled pork, ribs and more. Brisket Limited Special. It really tasted yummy and tasty. Lots of other options for dinner such as crepes, empanadas, falafel or chicken shawarma. You can also cool off with a popsicle from King of Pops - @kop_tucker. Ample free parking around the church area. Very welcoming and nice people. The Tucker Farmers Market brings together area farmers and artisans to offer their products to the community. Their mission is three-fold: 1) to support small, local businesses and independent producers like ourselves and to encourage people to "buy local"; 2) to encourage community between Vendors and their customers; and 3) to promote the continued rejuvenation of the Main Street Tucker area. The staff here has always made me feel like family. Whether it's the sweet gentleman who cuts the fresh pineapple, the gentleman preparing fresh coconut water, or the ladies at the checkout counters, everyone is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Those interactions may seem small, but they're a big part of why I continue to return year after year. Of course, the selection is incredible as well. This is where I buy most of my fresh fruit, a lot of my meat, and--let's be honest--my desserts too. Speaking of dessert, there is one item I absolutely have to mention: the fruit tart. I've tried fruit tarts from all over, and I can honestly say this market has my favorite one. Every single year, it's become my birthday tradition to pick one up, and I look forward to it just as much as the celebration itself. It really is that good. I went this past week because I was looking for 2 specific items that I wasn't able to find at 2 other large Asian markets. Someone had suggested this Market because of the extensive ethnic choices. It has Asian (Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Filipino), European, South American, Hispanic and American items. There are sections that have premade Asian meals, fresh seafood, extensive fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, pantry staples, bakery items, almost anything you might want. It's a large market and you could spend hours going up and down the aisles exploring. I was surprised to find they even had a favorite pop that I only thought I could get in Michigan. Now I know that I can go here and get it, without having to have it ordered online. It can get busy on the weekends when everyone is doing their weekly shopping, but I went later in the day and was able to find parking and not bump into people or long lines.

You have to get one of the big shopping carts out the parking lot yourself. The produce section is huge and loaded with the freshest produce. They also have a loyalty program that offers one free item every Friday. They accept all major credit cards, cash, and ebt. They do not charge a processing fee for card transactions.

This year, it operates from March 31 to November 17. I admit, it is more tiny than huge (perhaps around 15 vendors with roughly 2-3 selling produce), but it's worth visiting! Unlike some markets where you have to scavenge for parking in the nearby neighborhoods, the parking situation is exceptional since there's a giant lot right next to the venue which is First Baptist Church. This church happens to be quite near downtown Decatur in case you want to go there after or before. I believe all vendors accept credit cards but cash seems to be warmly welcomed at most or all businesses. Since there's a lush lawn in front of the church, it's a kid magnet and prime picnic spot; you can grab a snack or dinner and just chill. Some of my favorite sellers include Snapfinger Farm, Galette, and Honey Next Door. Shop local!
