Here to give Fresh Harvest an incredibly well deserved five stars, just following in the footsteps of other Yelpers who also know and love the value that this business brings to our homes and bellies. I have not been able to stop raving about Fresh Harvest. We are six months into getting our weekly Georgia basket and I cannot imagine stopping as long as things keep chugging along as they are. While the pandemic has laid bare loss and difficulties for us all, my silver lining of this ordeal has been Fresh Harvest. While saying that approaches drama, I truly mean this. Prior to mid-March, AT and I have ALWAYS been the kind of people to do our own groceries. We both know our way around the kitchen and are selective about the meat and produce we bring home to cook. Being parents, we were quite fearful of the unknown risks of COVID-19 and once lockdown was in place, we rapidly changed our habits to protect ourselves as much as possible. One of the changes includes having groceries delivered more regularly so as to avoid venturing out more than necessary. At first, we used delivery and pick-up services from major grocers. Then as supply chains became more and more stressed, I started to think about how my actions contribute to our society's dependence of food from afar. What began as a change motivated by fear turned into an enthusiasm for eating local seasonal food (many times trying new things that I would have never picked up at the store) and supporting nearby farmers and our refugee community. Before landing on Fresh Harvest, AT and I tried two other grocery delivery services that also offered locally grown food. The first one was great but the grocery delivery was a pivot from their original business and they ended up shifting back and while we liked the second one, there was a higher minimum required to get included shipping. We finally landed on Fresh Harvest and it has been smooth sailing ever since. I have referred to co-workers who recently signed up and they are about as over-the-moon as I am. During Thanksgiving week, instead of our usual Friday morning deliveries (where we hear the delivery man chatting with his mate in the truck as he drops off our basket--one of my favorite, human aspects of Fresh Harvest!!!!!), we were given the option to skip or pick up at the Clarkston outpost. Well, we did that and got some delicious caramel lattes from Refuge Coffee to-go. I am amazed that it took a global pandemic for me to become interested in eating more locally and reducing my harmful impact on our environment, but sometimes, we need a major trauma to jolt us from our habits. While I hope for us to move past this debacle as soon as safely possible, I am incredibly thankful to have discovered Fresh Harvest this year. To years more!

I have been getting baskets for over two years now. The selection and quality is always top notch. It's like visiting the farmers market but with the ease of your weekly bounty at your front door. Easily customizable and they always have great weekly deals. Try it out!! Also- I set reoccurring reminders on my phone to put my basket out and to customize my basket. This is an easy way to remedy forgetfulness in a busy work week!

Fresh Harvest is great! I love having my groceries delivered to save myself a trip to the store, and during covid times this is especially helpful. I can hit up the grocery store once every few weeks because Fresh Harvest provides all the foods that I want to buy fresh! The website makes it easy to skip (or donate!) a basket any week you need, and I love the ability to customize my basket to make sure I'm getting produce that I'll actually use (less food waste!). Not to mention how important it is to support local farmers! Highly recommend this CSA.

I just love these guys…read more We still live out here until the end of this school year and FINALLY were able to get a share of the weekly produce. They're super reasonable and have farm animals (that are cool looking without embarrassing crap stuck to their back fur - is that like the animal equivalent of when a woman comes out of the bathroom with toilet paper on her heel?) too. We've eaten everything that we've picked up, even (gulp) eggplant as she sends out a e-newsletter telling you what to do with all of this stuff that you just got. Also really cool is an herb garden where you can yank as much as you like of all sorts of really cool expensive herbs each week to your heart's content (even basil). Good luck getting a share! P.S. Oh, oh, check this out - is this cool or what? They did a thing last fall where they planted(?) shitake spores in some logs and now have mushrooms that they will be able to put in our weekly pick-up.

The food is delicious and it was so nice to get my food fresh from the soil. They also offer partnered items from other farms, like honey and eggs. I thoroughly enjoyed the surprises we would get throughout the season, for example, an heirloom pumpkin in the fall, a tomato plant in the spring. It was such a nice and welcomed treat every week to visit the farm. There are flowers and herbs that you can cut and take home as well. If you want to move toward a healthy, more sustainable way of feeding yourself and your family, please sign up for this CSA. For those concerned about price, the weekly share was about $30/week. This is more than you would spend at the grocery store, but it's organic and tastes so much better than you will get from any chain supermarket. Also, considering how much disease will cost each of us, $30/week towards your health is a bargain.

Welcoming you to this sub'untry enclave is multiple goats, loads of chickens, a couple of great pyrenees, and a few miniature horses; perhaps they are ponies, I'm not really sure about that. After you park go visit the animals. After all you might later purchase some of their brethren. That's right kiddies.. those lovely chickens you are cooing to lay oodles of gigantic organic*, free-range*, all-grain* diet eggs. And those eggs are spectacular, which is a good thing at $5 per dozen. Country Gardens might even have some of those pastured* chickens frozen in the freezer waiting to be purchased, cooked up, and eaten. They also have loads of grass-fed*, chemical-less*, meat "products" like young goat, cow, or pork. There is even raw milk fresh from Country Gardens own dairy down the road. If that doesn't completely rock your socks off, and it does mine because I am one of those crazy bitches who wants to know exactly how many friends my dinner had while alive, what kind of music it liked to listen to, and what it's favorite hobbies were (Portlandia), then be prepared to get excited about the large quantity and great quality of their garden products. Oh yes. Not just a farm...but a nursery....for plants...lots of plants. All the plants I saw here looked great. Prices were good. I didn't really notice a difference in what I would have paid at big box nursery vs here. On top of the fresh meat and eggs, beautiful plants, and live animals, they also have a gorgeous vegetable garden and during the summer you can often purchase fresh*, organic*, obviously local* vegetables here. They have a CSA that delivers to Peachtree Road Farmers Market. So anyhoo to sum up the review, this place is great. It is a haul from Atlanta proper, but the eggs you get here are freaking A-MAZING, and the dogs are nice, and the animals cute, and the plants pretty, and so on and so forth...... *Had to throw in as many buzzwords as possible in order to meet my "what white people like" daily quota
