But upon arriving, I was very pleased at all the many buildings on the property to explore. What I liked the most was that more than 90% of the antiques and collectibles have prices on them. I saw that it was quite a drive but I was brought in by Facebook after seeing the many delights they said they would offer. I am really into the whole modern/rustic farmhouse vibe and we wanted to decorate our home. I decided to go on my own, and I expected to find tons of great items for great prices. One of the worst things was trying to turn left in. It was a one way road and completely jam packed. There is no light, and it caused traffic due to the mini shopping event. Once I finally turned in, there was no open parking anywhere. I decided to park sorta on a side and out of the way. I walked in to many decor items that are beautiful. Here's the thing... all of the items I saw were extremely overpriced! I went around Halloween time and I saw mini pumpkins for $16-24 and I thought that was absurd. It was especially absurd to me because there is this shop I went to, and the women makes the pumpkins herself and sold it to me for $6 and it was the same exact size. They were selling items from places like Hobby Lobby, or Marshall's and I recognized quite a bit. It felt like a store where they buy things and then upsell them for 2-3x the amount. Nothing I saw really felt worth the price. If they had reasonable prices I would consider buying from this store, however they were just too high for me to agree to purchase. I did send my husband a few photos and he laughed, telling me I could buy the same thing at Marshall's for $5 cheaper. I realize that many do this as a way to earn money, which is conpletely understandable. It just isnt the place for me unfortunately, and I do hope these lovely individuals make some sales.

I only had a few minutes, but I stopped to look anyway. What a delight, they had so many cool antiques. The things that interested me, may not be the same as someone else but they had a huge variety. I personally like the beveled glass windows and doors. I am a huge Frank Loyd Wright fan, they had this beautiful pair of 8 foot doors I was drooling over. They had collectible Steiff animals, not just bears. Also, they had a ton of stuff under old lumber yard bins outside where they housed some of the less expensive things. If you want pristine condition antiques, shop inside...if you want fixer up-ers, shop outside. They had something for every budget and the woman was extremely knowledgeable. I will go back and really explore the whole place this weekend, maybe I'll update this post if I am able to negotiate on a beveled window I have my eye on. If you're near Washington Township, MI you should stop in.

There's Flea Market Rescue in downtown Dryden, She-Shed in Metamora. Chic antiques in Almont. I believe it was while at Flea Market Rescue I found out about here. So happy that I was able to go there the day I was out with my daughter! There was some event thing going on so these plus a few others were all having something the same day. Two Hens is located down a dirt road-fyi. But it's not that far down and the road has been fine every time I've been there. They do well with parking and signage and if you can't park in front there is ample parking in back. Everything is located in the big barn-you CANT miss it! The first time going here, I was in love with the stuff they had plus they have lights hanging up which is a nice touch. They do a cute setup with coffee, small bottled water. Sometimes snacks! Debbie, Diana, and Myriah are the 3 ladies who own this business. They really make shopping here a treat! They are so awesome and always ready to welcome you and have a conversation. I can't say enough about the 2 that I have met! (Debbie and Myriah) So on to what they sell. This is a Vintage shopping experience. You will find furniture, home decorations, all kinds of interesting stuff that is very reasonably priced. They are not open every weekend, just to inform you. You can follow them on Facebook and they announce from there what weekends they will be open. They are CLOSED RIGHT NOW FOR THE WINTER, but will be back open in MAY 2025. I just went to their last event of the year, it was CHRISTMAS IN THE BARN. Now that I've been here this year only missing one event they had, I knew to go the first night which was Ladies Night. I took my sister along knowing she would love it there and not to my surprise.....she bought ALOT! Furniture, sparkly Christmas trees, Santa's. Add my stuff to hers and her big SUV was filled to the brim! It was a very festive event with a special drink, delicious snacks, water. Enjoyable atmosphere and meeting great people. I think not only were we first in line but after loading up went back in and bought more! (Making us probably close to the last ones there!) I can't say enough about Two Hens & a Chick. It's just a great place with great people and great finds!!
