The hotel offers tremendous value: Free parking Free WiFi Large, comfortable guest areas A hot breakfast Evening "Kickback" with light dinner and drinks--all included While the food is typical hotel fare (just okay in terms of taste), it's a major perk for families. The cost savings from not having to dine out for breakfast and dinner every day really adds up. Parents with kids love it. Be prepared, though: This location is very popular with families, especially during school breaks and major travel periods. Expect lots of children and a busy atmosphere (primarily during meal times and in the pool). The hotel is well-managed, clean, and inviting, with a beautiful interior and exterior. Staff was friendly and attentive, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. If you're looking for comfort, convenience, and amenities at no extra cost, Drury Brentwood is a top choice--especially for family travelers.

The parking garage is incredibly easy to access and has an elevator that'll take you right up to your floor, making it easy to grab things from the car, load in, etc. Often times a valet can be nice but also means your car is MIA if you need anything. The staff was so friendly (shoutout Kashif, the GM!) and really welcomed me in to this hotel. My room was quite small, but it is what it is and they have several other types of rooms should you need more space. The hotel gym was surprisingly decent as well, with a few cardio machines, and a good rack of weights, pull up bars, and more than enough to get a nice workout in. To the side, there's a saltwater pool that was nice as well, but about 10 degrees colder than I'd prefer. One reason to love a Hampton Inn is they really show out with breakfast and it was good here; cereal, oatmeal, sausage, omelettes, waffle makers, coffee, etc. When I travel, I love the ease of this and hope they keep doing it -- I'll continue to seek them out if they do. Really nothing else to add except I'd definitely stay here again and enjoyed the stay.

She recommended a great local IPA along with a Goose Island IPA, and both were excellent choices. Jill was also just a great person to chat with, which made the experience even better. The assistant manager was also incredibly helpful and did an awesome job suggesting some great local spots for dinner. The service and atmosphere at Danielle's Bar really stood out--friendly, welcoming, and relaxing. Definitely a great spot to stop by if you're staying at the Hampton Inn or just in the area!

We wrapped up our informal wander through the fabulous Delmar Loop and drifted up here for a final drink, a skyline check and that signature rotating oversized Moon glowing over the building. By pure luck, it was a full moon over Saint Louis too which felt a little on the nose in the best possible way. The rooftop is solid, a clear arc of the city that makes you slow down to appreciate the view. The space itself is exactly what you want at the end of the night. Open, relaxed and elevated enough to feel like a finale without trying too hard. The music was much louder than I'd prefer and not an artist I'd ever queue up for a mellow nightcap and it did sort of get in the way of the vibe. The kitchen had already closed, which killed the idea of a final nibble with our round of drinks. The bartender did offer the workaround of having DoorDash delivered to the bar but we weren't going to hang around that long. The Old Fashioned he put together was excellent, balanced and smooth. Just what I needed as my Fitbit clocked over 10k steps. As a final stop on a Loop night, the Moonrise works beautifully. You get the view of downtown Saint Louis in the distance, the atmosphere, the giant Moon doing its thing and a comfortable landing spot before calling it a night. I even got to watch my Royals (that's right STL, my ROYALS) win game 6 of the World Series in resounding fashion up on the rooftop here. Good times. A dozen or so years later, feeling nostalgic, and having struck out on some downtown STL hotels, I opted to come back here. Unlike my Royals, this place has still got it. Friendly staff upon check-in, and they let me know they don't have valet which I was honestly relieved about. When I'm traveling solo, I sort of just want access to my car, not to have to wait 15 minutes to go to the trouble of retrieving a phone charger out of my console. There is a little lot in the back that they'll check if you're a guest before allowing you in during busy periods. The room was nice, and the elevators are quick. The shower pressure is WAY better than I remember, at least it was on the third floor. The bed was insanely comfortable, and really, no complaints. The one issue was the little room couch was filthy in my room, with visible stains and grossness.. I just avoided it during my stay. The rest of the room was clean. No hotel gym that I noticed, but not far from Forest Park if you want to jog or walk (beware the insane STL drivers). I also took my takeout dinner to the rooftop which was nice, but not yet open for the season. I still appreciate them letting me up there for some fresh air and views. Lastly, the Delmar Loop has quite a bit! This area offers good coffee shops, a store, tons of quality restaurants, and all within walking distance. Nice place overall, and definitely in my consideration every time I come to STL.

Since I arrived so early, I had time to kill and I thought sipping a cocktail was a good way to pass time. The lobby bar, didn't have a name, it was just to right as I entered the main entrance. It's small in size, so you can kind of say it was intimate. I took a seat at the bar, but they did have several tables for groups to gather and drink. I was pleased to see that under the bar, they had hooks. I'm a big advocate for hooks being under bars. They're great for light coats and for ladies to securely store their purse. After looking over the cocktail menu, I went with a Manhattan. Wow, the young lady working as bartender, knew her craft and made me an outstanding cocktail. I watched her make it and her skills were masterful. I prefer my Manhattans up and with a dark cherry. You give me a Maraschino cherry, you lose a star in any rating. Good Cocktail, Good Service, Good Value and Relaxing Atmosphere. I'll be glad to stop by again, when I'm in Clayton.

It was quiet my entire stay - no slamming doors, no noise from the hallway. One issue with noise was the heating unit. It's winter in Saint Louis so it was running all night to keep up and it was wheezing loudly even cutting through my earplugs. In the end, I had to turn it off at night. Second issue. There is coffee in the lobby and that was great three of the mornings I took a cup to go. The fourth morning as I'm waiting for my 4:30am taxi to the airport, the coffee was cold and the urn finished halfway through. I didn't have time to wait for a fresh urn to arrive. The room was comfortable with a nice workspace, a good setup in the room for coffee/tea, a great shower with a very large bathroom. Bed was comfortable, too. I left the "do not disturb" most days but did take it down the second morning. The room was very nicely cleaned and reset. Friendly people at the desk, a lovely room, a great location right next to the Clayton Metrolink station. This hotel is perfect for access to the Saint Louis courthouse, downtown Clayton and an easy ride on the train into downtown. [Review 26 of 2025 - 406 in Missouri - 23598 overall]
