DBM refers to your situation as "transition period in your career". They provide various resources to help you find a new job: their web site with webinars, on-site seminars with other people in the same situation as you and a professional speaker; a consultant that will be working with you individually helping you out with resume, etc. I found their office in Mississauga was nicer. Overall experience was nice as they were willing to accommodate various requests when I was not happy with the program. Do ask if for whatever reason you feel you cannot utilize resources provided in full. The downside is: there are various free programs of a similar kind. They are not located in a nice downtown office like LHH/DBM program, they do not offer free tea and coffee but they still help you in a similar way as DBM/LHH does. So, if your employer is paying, go for it, otherwise look up free help.

I was curious on switching my ISP as the fees kept creeping up and even with my well negotiated contract I was looking around for a new service source as didn't know what options I would have when renewing. I will give dotto one kudos for being persistent as after they initially got my contact they kept following up and even made it an easy decision to switch to their service with the penalty from the current provider. The installation was smooth and was done within an hour. I have a somewhat complex setup at home with some legacy equipment blended in with new tech. There was a technical glitch with the hardware on the legacy tech that made me connect with their support line a few times. They are quite helpful and being a smaller operation you even get the people who have dealt with your issue before hand. Believe me it's a big time saver not having to explain the issue again and again. With a few adjustments and troubleshooting on both ends I am satisfied with the service I have. I will update in the long run but so far a solid service. Update for long term usage. It has almost been a year and the service and support have been rock solid. A rarity IMO for the service industry in Canada. I am talking about no service calls requests after the initial issues, billing. The owner told me he has only one year left on the lease, depending on how sales go this year, he may also decide to leave the business. If you want your cleaners to show up late, leave spills on your new hardwood floors, leave toilet bowls full of stains, leave early and to top it off blame your Dad for supervising, these are the perfect cleaners for you! I walk by this cleaning service everyday at lunch and thought why not give these people a try at my new house after renovations are done? If you're thinking the same thing, DON'T! Let me begin by telling you that the cleaning appointmemt started with the second cleaner being 2 hours late. And although the job was supposed to be for 2 cleaners 4 to 5 hours each, I received cleaning service for 4 hours from the first cleaner who was on time, and only 2 hours from the late one. You do the math on that one. You'd say to me that's alright as long as the place is spotless! But boy was I wrong about these "professional" cleaners. This can't even be classified as superficial surface clean job. They left stains in the toilet bowls, bath tubs and laundry sink that even the naked eye can tell you it was not clean. They left spills on new hard wood floors and didn't bother wiping them up. When my Dad told then to wipe it and to be more careful they blamed my Dad for supervising the cleaning process too closely. I'm speechless. I've never heard of cleaners who would leave early and say the job is done when clearly it is not. Most of all, apparently this was all because my Dad was supervising. I guess it is unreasonable to be allowed to stay in your own house while it's being cleaned, or it must be ridiculous to make requests about cleaning up spills and comment over careless mistakes, and if you're not satisfied with the job it is up to you to hold the cleaners hostage in the house because once you let them go you're basically saying job well done! Consider yourselves warned. I hope you never have to go through what we had to go through. I hope we can all find honest punctual cleaners who are professional. Most importantly, I hope when you paid to get your toilet bowls cleaned, they don't look like the public toilet that hasn't been cleaned for years. Good luck people!!!
