I went to her a few years ago for my eyeliner tattoo and loved the effect it had on my eyes. I loved her natural style and how it just enhanced my eyes without looking so BAM here is your tattoo! It's a small home converted into a gallery-esque studio. It's a lovely place- and Sherri is an even lovelier person. Like other reviewers say- she is an artist and will draw a shape that only enhances your natural brow. She constantly matches along with your face dimensions. The process took atleast an hour- to fill out forms, analyze the shape of brow, numbing cream and then tattoo part. Recovery time- in terms of the redness/scab to fade was about 2 days. But it wasn't so bad that I couldn't go out. I went right back to work after my appointment.! She will schedule your touch up before you leave her studio. I was in town for business and she rearranged her schedule to provide an appointment for me. My appointment was scheduled for 5:30 but I was fortunate with the LA traffic and arrived at 5. They immediately explained the process and thoroughly detailed each step. Sherri believes in a natural look and consults with you regarding your eyebrow arch. The most distinguishing factor is Sherri has experience working with keloids! I am keloid-prone and she calmed my anxiety regarding the possibility of developing keloids because of microblading. I got my eyebrows done here today! The tattoo artist is a very calm and therapeutic sweet soul! The procedure was not painful because she used a numbing ointment. When I walked in, I had the ointment on my eyebrows for a few minutes and then she started the microblading. To my surprise, it wasn't painful and I barely felt some of the strokes besides a few that prickled...which you should expect when you're getting a tattoo procedure. Most importantly, it looked so natural when it all ended and I look like I have a full naturally thick but elegant and feminine brows. Natural look! I was very impressed with her professional technique as my skin normally get bleeding and swelling easily, but I didn't feel much pain or get swelling during and after the treatments. I first found Sherri Makeup on yelp, look up her los angeles location! She has much more reviews there. Before, she was in Koreatown only but now she has an Anaheim location on Tuesdays and Thursdays which is nice for me since I'm in orange county. I've gone to Sherri for eyebrow tattoo, aka microblading. It costs $350 which is very reasonable. I know that other places charge much higher. Each hair stroke is tattooed individually so it gives off a natural appearance. It lasts for about 3 years but I think it won't completely fade until 5 years (also won't turn green). Sherri is an artist and believes in a natural look. If you're looking for a sculpted done up eyebrow look, I'd recommend going somewhere else. But if you want natural looking eyebrows, Sherri is your girl. I prefer this because during my no makeup days, I don't want my brows looking like they have makeup on. Also, by making it natural looking, you could change the shape some with makeup because she works with your natural brow shape. I've just finished my 1st annual touchup so I can give a pretty thorough review on the whole experience. I totally love my brows and wish I got this done sooner! When I tell people I have tattooed brows, they're super amazed and can't tell at all :) They always ask for her info so that they can see her too. The tattoo experience: During the first appointment, the actual tattooing part takes like 10 minutes but the appointment will take about 30 minutes because it takes time for the numbing cream to take effect. 1. Short consultation: Sherri first talks to you about what you want. If you have pictures, be sure to show her. Her english isn't be best (she's korean) so keep it simple. 2. Numbing cream: She then uses this tool to give small cuts to your brow area and then applies numbing cream and covers your brows with plastic wrap. The numbing cream is most effective when applied to "broken skin". I'd say this hurts the most of the whole experience, but it's very quick. She might do this once more. The numbing cream really helps because during my touchup, she only did this once instead of twice and the tattooing hurt a lot more than the first time. 3. Tattoo: she tattoos hairlike strokes freehand to your brows, one at a time. It is a bit painful but manageable. I notice that as she tattoos slightly outside of the numbing cream area, it hurts more. She uses cloth to wipe off the ink after each time she tattoos. 4. Almost finished: You both look at the result in the mirror, talk about any slight adjustments 5. Finished! You'll come back for a touchup (included in the price) after 2 weeks (you need at least 5 days before being able to do the touchup). 6. It takes about 7 full days for the brows to completely scab off and heal. Don't pick at them and leave them be. First few days I use aquaphor at night. The tattoo looks the worst for one or two days (looks a bit red) but any blood is actually from cuts given for the numbing cream. You can actually use a wet qtip to clean this up a bit. It'll be kinda itchy around day 4 and on. 7. Come back annually for a retouchup (this includes a touchup 2 weeks after). The pricing will range depending on how much your brows have faded, mine was $100. I found that after 1 year, my brows had faded but I could've waited longer. Note about out-of-towners: Since most won't be able to stay for the 2 week touchup, you can come anytime within the year for a touchup for like $50 or something, can't remember. Also, she'll make them darker during the initial appointment since you might not come for a touchup. Normally she does them lighter and darkens them more during the touchup. read more

i've always been insecure about how little brow hairs i had, so i wanted to look into microblading. sherri's microblading style is very particular. she insists on making it look very natural, which honestly saved me. i came in wanting a harsh "drawn on" style, but she convinced me otherwise and i like it so much better! anyways, if u do want made-up brows, you could always just go over it later and define or darken it with a pencil for a less casual look. will continue to come back to sherri's for touch-ups!! read more

I first met Sherri a few years ago at her Koreatown location and am so happy that she now has a location in orange county, too! I just got my brows touched up after a few years and am again so happy with Sherri's work. Honestly, I had heard so many stories about how painful the eyebrow/eyeliner process was. So I was a wee bit nervous about getting this done. But I figured, "No pain, no gain" so I toughened up and walked into Sherri's studio. Much to my surprise, it was not painful AT ALL.
