Delicious! Their momos were so delicious, especially with the sauce. I thought I've had dumplings before, but I like the grill and meat flavor! Also really loved their pork skewers! Absolutely worth trying at the Mueller Market on Sundays.

Gave them a try at the Mueller Farmers market. Due to the strong winds, food took 3x longer to be finished (normally 10 minutes for skewers but took 30). Even after all that time, my chicken skewer came out partially cooked so I had to cook the 2nd half when I got home. I suspect the strong winds took the heat out of the grills and didn't allow for them to cook properly. Will give them a second try later on a non-windy day.

Authentic Nepali comfort foods! I always go their stall at the Texas Farmer's Market at Mueller and I'm never ever disappointed. This time around, I got the pork belly skewers (which come with carrots, cucumbers, spring onions and cilantro) and chicken momos. The pork belly was tender and delicious, they use Himalayan spices, while the momos were flavorful and had just the right texture (not too soft that it completely melted in your mouth but not exactly chewy either). They are always so nice and helpful and sometimes offer a discount if you follow them on Instagram. They grill the meats on site so it's nice to hear the sizzling and smell the aroma as you approach. I truly love them and will always get a meal here whenever I'm at the market.

Picked up some Momos from the Mueller farmers market. I love how they both steam and then fry the outside of the momos, giving you the perfect momo consistency. I got a combination of the chicken and veggie momos. The chicken ones were amazing!! 5/5 can't recommend enough. The veggie ones could definitely use more paneer and were a little bland so I'd give them a 3/5, but it's awesome that they had a veggie option. I do like how the momos are color coded so you know exactly what you're biting into. Pricing was a little steep compared to Nepalese places I've tried in Denver, Chicago, and Madison, but totally on par with spots in Austin! Definitely worth trying next time you are in Mueller on a Sunday!

I discovered his place at the Lakeline Farmer's market when they first started out. It was love at first bite! My favorites are the Chicken Momo which has a Sesame Tomato sauce on the side that is just ::chefs kiss::. I also love the pork belly which is marinated in their Black Sauce which they also sell. It has a great umami flavor but also spices that makes your tastebuds happy. I have purchased the sauce and use it for meat, burgers, anything I can think of that could use a punch of spice (not just the hot kind). I also can't say enough about the staff. It feels family run and they are always smiling and happy to see you. If you go to the farmers market in Mueller or Lakeline I highly recommend stopping by!

My husband and I picked up some of their momos from their booth at the Texas farmer's market at Mueller. And OH MY GOD these were so good! I am a sucker for momo (Nepali dumplings) and these hit the spot. It comes with dipping sauce and some cilantro on top. We literally came back for seconds because qe wanted to take some on the way home too. 10/10 would recommend, go get you some of their momos!

Specializing in Nepali and Himalayan cuisine, the food truck introduced me to a dish I had never tried before...momos. Momos are traditional Nepali dumplings that trace their roots back centuries to the Himalayan region. Typically filled with seasoned meat or vegetables, they can be steamed, fried, served in chili sauce, or even enjoyed in a flavorful soup. Monk's Momo offers several styles, including steamed, fried, chili, and jhol (soup-based) momos. I ordered the steamed chicken momos, and they were outstanding...fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The emphasis here is clearly on quality. The momos were served with a sesame-tomato dipping sauce that was deliciously bold...definitely a sauce that gets your attention. The manager was friendly and happy to explain the menu and dining options, making the experience even more enjoyable. Free parking at the food truck park is an added bonus. Courtyard seating provides a relaxed environment. This was a great introduction to Monk's Momos, and I'm already looking forward to returning to try more of the menu items.

Absolutely delicious! We came for the momos and ended up trying a bunch of different dishes…read more(including delicious momos). We came as a group of 5 during a soccer match and had no trouble getting seated- they did have the game playing on a large tv at the back but didn't bother us. The staff was very friendly, happy to answer questions, and also was careful to let us know when we were ordering crazier dishes but didn't push back when we said yeah we want to try it XD I forgot to write this review right away and I can't remember exactly what combo of fillings we got with our momos, but they were all great. The chilly sauce one was good though on the sweet side- some of the group weren't a big fan but I loved it I think the spice balances out the sweet. If we didn't have multiple flavors to try I may have gotten tired of it but I really enjoyed having all the different versions. I think the Jhol was my favorite- the spicy sauce was delicous and I dipped some of the other items in it once we finished the momos! We also tried the sandheko ones which were fun and unique- the herbs/veggies they were tossed with were great. We also tried the special khaja set- this was super fun and something I had never tried before. We all agreed that most restaurants in Austin advertising Nepali food usually serve typical Indian dishes plus momos, so it was fun and exciting to have other Nepali dishes I had never tried on the menu! The set was great, the flattened rice wasn't my favorite but it sure was interesting! I'd highly recommend it if you want to try something new! The only dish I personally didn't enjoy (this is the one the server warned us about) was a mutton dish. I can't pinpoint what menu item it is but it was just pieces of mutton with some spices to dip them in. My husband enjoyed this and ate a good portion but I found it to be so incredibly gamey I could barely finish the first piece lol. Absolutely no points off as it was definitely a personal preference thing and awesome that they have adventurous options! We also got a curry of some sort that was delicious, and some great mixed drinks. We all agreed that we absolutely must come back and try more of the massive menu!!

I don't remember what I got but these are both chicken! It was great though. It's calm and moody inside. The servers are kind and check up on you in a timely manner.
