She stated she would not consider other options or have any discussion about other options of hormone replacement. By the way-she spent no time at my inital visit explaining what pellets she was going to give me and what they did. It was only after having complications that I really started doing my own research and wanted more bioidentical options. I had no idea my question about altering my treatment would be so offensive to Dr. Maupin. I guess I should not be surprised since there is not as much profit in creams and other forms of hormone replacement. I have no problem spending money-I just wanted more tailored options for my healthcare. My advice is RUN AWAY! Any practitioner who will only offer options that make her money despite not necessarily being FDA approved and no options for tailoring care has no business being in healthcare. BioBalance is not about helping women. It is all about the bottom line. If I could give BioBalance health and Dr. Maupin a zero rating I would not have offered the one star. They do not deserve it.

When we felt like we were shucked to the side with SLUH, we went seeking out a 2nd opinion and new neurologist and neurosurgeon. The level of seriousness and care at Barnes has been above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. I just walked in and put my name in the queue and was able to get in about 30-40 minutes later. They gave me a strep throat culture and a flu culture and listened to my breathing and asked about my symptoms, etc. The physician's assistant could not have been nicer. She prescribed Flonase, benzonatate, and doxycycline. The Flonase and the benzonatate were completely worthless but the doxycycline was exactly what I needed to kick the virus. However, when I went to use the women's bathroom, there was literal poop on the walls and in each stall. I was afraid to put my bag down. They were decent. I had to make another visit there this evening, into now the AM, and I was demanded by my doctor's office, which is with Mercy, to go because I got up to make a phone call, saw stars, and was on the floor hearing "hello." Mind you, I was still having awful pain in my feet along with water weight, which no one there was willing to go that far to figure out. Long story short, I was in a lot of pain. I don't take pain medicine. The last time in 10 years I took pain meds was on April 3rd for being bitten in the face by a pit bull. So tonight I asked for Tylenol. YES, TYLENOL.it had been very clear they pre judged me for seeking pain meds, because I smoked good marijuana before I went. Its legal, I didnt drive why would they not drug test me right off the bat or simply ask. I had to ask when I could go home..if I hadn't I would have sat in my hall room, I wonder who cares that the first that happened when I walked in my front door was hit the floor & FWI: im not falling because im high.

Let me start from the beginning! The anesthesiologist, Chris he was phenomenal. Listen to me the entire time and really tried to help. Chris also went above and beyond after our Baby was born, taking tons of photos on my husband's phone for us since I was out of it to capture the moment. The day I was admitted, they told me my two-year-old could stay the night but then when I switched rooms I was told we were misinformed and no kids under 16 could stay. So we had completely changed last minute with an hour left of visitation which resulted in me having to stay overnight by myself without my husband helping therefore I only got two hours of sleep. Frustrating getting different pieces of information. Dietary was a nightmare they consistently messed up our worse, forgot food and would have to bring up another tray, which would take another 15 minutes at a time. We are waiting over 45 minutes for food. One of the nurses made a comment that's where they get their lowest ratings is from dietary. The nurse had eight students with her and offered if we wanted to get some rest. One of the students would watch our daughter, which was very kind. Apparently they don't have a nursery so that you can rest even after c sections there's not an option. They also don't offer pacifiers unless your baby is in a lot of distress. The nurse told me just to go home and grab one. The real amazing nurses were Becky, who was my second night nurse, Jackie, my second night nurse. The scrub nurse Alie and my other nurse Tori were incredible the entire time I cannot brag about them enough. They helped me watch her so I could sleep on my second night. They got my pain under control that you're seriously went above and beyond.
