I was charged 70 dollars for labor and 17 for the oil. I provided my own oil filter. I'm new in town and I believe that's why they decided to charge me almost 90 dollars for an oil change. When I asked the proprietor why I was charged 70 dollars labor, he seemed to know that what he was doing was wrong, and then tried to justify it by saying that that is what they charge per hour. It was almost sad. I had called them a few weeks back and gotten a quote in line with other shops- around 40 dollars. I'm a non-confrontational sort so I didn't push it. I was ripped off. I will never go back and am telling others of my experience. For those new to Alva, avoid this shop or you'll be severely overcharged.

The reliability is so appreciated, and there is a lady upfront who is chatty and welcoming the past few times I've gone. It really helps the time go by faster, having someone to converse with and not just sitting awkwardly in silence. I was there for an oil change last week, and they redid the whole lobby area and spruced it up quite a bit. So many places don't seem to really care about the customers as long as the job gets done. I am very disappointed with the quality of the service that I have received at Quality Quick Lube…read more I have been taking my vehicle to QQL for the last 5 years or so. Over the last 2 years I have noticed that they consistantly short me a quart of oil. They also keep charging me for putting in washer fluid when the reservoir was already full. The last visit to QQL went as it always does. They are extremely nice and very quick, which is why I keep going there. After this last visit, large oil spots started showing up under my vehicle. I got really worried as my vehicle has never leaked any oil before. I realized that maybe something was not done right at my last oil change. I had a friend check under my car & he said that the oil filter was not tightened. He was able to turn it a full 1 1/2 turns!!! That is a lot for an oil filter! No wonder it was leaking a lot of oil! When I checked the oil after getting the filter tightened it was over 1 quart low. I do not know how much actually leaked out as it always looks like a lot on the pavement even if it isn't a huge amount. I suspect they shorted me a quart again. I hate that I have to double check them and check my fluid levels before and after I go in there. I want to just trust them to do their job!!! I am going to have to find somewhere else to get my oil changed because I do not trust them anymore & I am too worried about damage to my vehicle due to this.
