We asked if we could use them for that day. They told us yes, but the theaters were packed, so we were okay with separate seating. Then they were going to charge us for another ticket. There were three of us. I asked them to refund our money for the tickets, but was told, "Oh, we can't do that. I'll give you two passes instead of three." So, your policy states that you only give refunds up to minutes before the movie. If somebody didn't see the movie, you can tell by the pass on the computer that it wasn't used. Why can't you give them a full refund or give them three passes to see a movie another day? It doesn't make sense to me. I would like my third pass, or I'd like all my money returned. Would like upper management to get a hold of me greatly appreciate it thank you

A good experience overall…read more The placement of this theater is odd, but welcome: it's seemingly out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by residences and cornfields and mom-and-pop mechanics shops. That said, it's a good theater. I enjoyed my experience. It's not going to be the best theater you've ever seen in terms of the movie quality; I don't think, for example, they have a 3D theater. But it's really good, especially for the price. The screens are good quality; the lighting and atmosphere of the place is pretty fly; the seats are really comfortable. I sat in one of their two big theaters; it had reclines, a small table area for food, cupholders, and the sound quality was superb. The signage inside is good. One note: screens 1 and 2 are right beside the bathroom. Screens 3-8 are on the other side of the building, so if you have a show in one of those theaters, it'll be a walk if you need to use the restroom. Their popcorn was good; they have butter dispensers by the Coke fountains. The Coke fountains are fountains, so refills are free. Not sure about popcorn. They do have available booze, both beer on draft and some other options (see photos). Staff were helpful, theater was clean, experience was good. It didn't strike me as the best theater experience I've ever had, but I'd go again. Very pleasant experience, especially given the location.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely a step above typical theater fare. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Between the affordable Wednesday specials, great food, and relaxed atmosphere, I would definitely recommend Warehouse Cinemas in Frederick and will absolutely be back!

Huge upgrade from your typical theater experience. They also go beyond just movies. There's a full bar, real food (not just popcorn), and everything I've tried has been good -- most recently the BBQ chicken pizza. They also do themed drinks for new releases, which is such a fun touch. I love that they offer $7 Tuesdays (which do sell out fast) and regularly host events. I recently went to their Trailer Fest, and it was a great experience -- tons of previews, food samples, giveaways, and just an overall fun vibe. They also show throwback movies and have a rewards program, so there's always something going on beyond just current releases. Every time I bring someone here, they end up loving it too. Not even an hour into our event, I had noticed the security at the door being aggressive with the patrons, At our events we invite a community made up of our friends, loved ones and locals that share ideals and beliefs, such as PLURR and Decency. So this off rip didn't sit well with me. I understand someone has to do their job and in fact would want everyone to be checked and ID'd/verified before they enter our show for safety and legal reasons, So I will never get in the way of stopping staff from doing that as their job. What really spiraled the night out of control was when one of our own staff from our collective who we had as a greeter at the door looked uncomfortable so we went to go check on her and she had told us that a secondary man next to the security/doorman who was also checking people in had made inappropriate sexual comments such as asking her to sit in his lap because she looked tired of standing while gesturing towards his genitalia, this happened in the entry hallway. (being dressed up and looking good is not an invite to be inappropriate, we condemn that disgusting behavior to the highest degree). This combined with multiple other patrons complaining about being touched inappropriately as they entered and paid. (This second man, the security/doorman's brother wasn't even authorized to work and was allegedly fired months ago from Café 611 yet he was there "working" with permission from the owner) when I fully heard everything from multiple people. I walked up to the security and asked them to please not be aggressive with our patrons, as mentioned before these are our friends and family coming through and I personally love these people to death. The secondary man then proceeded to get aggressive with me, threaten me and tell me that he would take me out front to the street and kill me, To quote exactly what he said "I don't knock people out. I put them to sleep permanently. Would you like to go outside? Let's go outside" me at this point, I'm absolutely bewildered and the situation escalating (my only words to them in this entire exchange in front of 10+ people was simply asking if they could not speak to our patrons in a condescending or aggressive way) the customers that were entering the building and knew nothing about the situation unfolding were the ones that had to be the to step in between and try to pull him away from me as he was standing up to put hands on anyone that angered him. I let things cool down and walk away. I proceeded to address my issues with the person in charge of that night, immediately he was dismissive, but told me he would go over and talk to security. He walked over and I watched them speak. They shared a couple laughs for about 30 minutes and the man Hung out for another hour after that before he decided to leave on his own accord. At the end of the night when our event was over, not a minute after, right on the dot. Security and the Manager started yelling obscenities and telling everyone to get the **** out and made a comment about white people for some reason? Which left everyone uncomfortable and confused because this room was as ethnically diverse as it could get. Me and my entire staff went to have a full conversation about what had happened that night and recapping with the owner but he defended his "staff" even after having multiple (7+) patrons independently complain about being uncomfortable, he ignored any accountability, harassed us for his money while we were actively breaking down and loading all of our equipment into our vehicles outside because at that point it was clearly the only thing he cared about. demanded we pay him their split without any reasoning or understanding that the funds had to be transferred. Started acting like we were trying run off without paying him because we demanded a conversation about accountability first and then when it was all said and done shut the door on us so we couldn't return. I will never in my life come/promote/attend/etc here ever. This place has a bad history and I wanted to believe it wasn't true and still try to work at the 611 because good venues in the Maryland scene are hard to come by, but everything everyone has said about this place unbelievably correct. It feels like a family the minute you start working on a show, and you can really get down in the dumps when the show ends. The caliber of talent I've seen and met over many seasons keeps me and my family coming back. It's truly one of the best theatre experiences in the DC metro area. As previous reviewers have mentioned, it's a small and intimate black box style theatre with limited seating - so, get your tickets early because their shows often sell out! Like an hour (ish) drive. So what's happening in HP? The Barn out Washington St. had a MemorialDay weekend all-day mostly-country music event 2pm to 10:30pm! Very nice. They have a great little bar inside, and sometimes have food from one of the restaurants across the parking lot, or just walk over for takeout, or i think i read that they deliver here. By the way, parking can get a little tight for a bigger event like this one, but we were early enough, maybe 1pm, and we scored a space when someone left. I might as well add that there's several clean restrooms sort of across from the bar. We settled into a huge comfy couch near the back of the hall, behind the seating for roughly 30 at tables and picnic tables. There was also seating for roughly 20 at tables out on a deck. The first solo singer-guitarist, D.C.'s Kate Smiles, had a lovely voice and sweetly original interpretations of rock and pop and country songs that i knew, and a presence that made me say, Hey, Wow, I can relax in this mellow mood with a really nice whiskey from a list that my local bar would envy. By the way, they were out of the local whiskey, Devil's Due, so i had a warming fiery oaky slightly-sweet Elijah Craig bourbon, neat, with a water back. Mmmmm. The second musician, W.V.'s Andrew Copenhaver, moved among soulful blues and country, some classics, some modern. He could put an edge on his voice, and he could hit some deep bass notes, so it was a real pleasure when he gave us Folsom Prison Blues. When you can hit that low note, you have a right to do some Johnny Cash. By now i was into some crisp local beers. That little bar really has everything, including a versatile bartender who made every drink we knew, and we sampled his skills as the third musician, NoVA's Mark Cullinane, took the stage. He had a wide range of country songs, including a moving original that made us feel we were driving in our pickup behind his dad's. He had a great rich tone and great range. Like the second musician, he used some kind of looper to create full layers of harmony. What with all the beverages, we started to fade a little as the music moved into the set by NoVA's seriously-country Rowdy Ace Band around 8pm. They really lit up the hall and the patio and probably a good piece of nearby Harpers Ferry. We eventually moved on to our reservations for dinner across the parking lot at Snallygaster's restaurant. But that's another story. We had a terrific afternoon and evening. The Barn will definitely be one of our go-to spots in this town, and we'll be looking to hear these musicians again!
