This place was advertised in the local rag as Taylors Patisserie but the obvious sign says Oakhill Patisserie. There is very limited seating. 2-3 chairs inside and 4 chairs outside. I think the trade is mainly takeaway As for the food....good. I took the last pepper pie and my eating buddy liked his so much that he went back for seconds....and they were hot. The coffees were a bit too hot and even though we sat there we were served in takeaway cups so they were a little too hot to handle. We got the breakfast plate which consists of roasted honey glazed ham, smoked salmon, boiled eggs, toast, condiments and the Chicken Congee which includes chicken, brown rice, broccoli, ginger, shallots and a fried egg. This place captures all the elements you want in a cafe & more. The space: classy. clean. inviting. modern. The menu: fresh. seasonal. tasty. balanced. What I appreciate most is the passion that is carried through all these different elements including the love they have for traditional cooking with seasonal products. The coffee is good & the staff are always friendly & helpful. There is usually a tribe of mums & preschoolers there if you join the school drop off crowd. There is a monthly High Tea too. Haven't tried it yet, but confident it would be a cut above any others I've attended.
