History
Established in 2017.
Shepherd Sterling was founded by Neil and Cherisse Cuffy on one conviction — that design, build, and furnish projects should be stewarded by one firm from concept to completion to avoid the gaps that often accompany handoffs. After years of refining our process across California, we expanded to Winter Park, Florida, bringing our integrated approach to clients throughout Central Florida and beyond.
Our work is grounded in the belief that environments shapes how people live, work, gather and restore. We pair this with our own artisan furnishings collection and collaborations with global artists-in-residence — extending our craft from interiors and exteriors to art and publishing.
Every project, regardless of scope, carries the same standard: guided with intention, crafted with excellence.
Meet the Business Owner: Cherisse C.
Hello, I'm Cherisse, Principal and Co-Founder of Shepherd Sterling.
Most designers come to this work through art or architecture. I came through psychology. With a master's in psychology and years in design, I approach space through how it shapes the people who live in it — how a room makes you feel the moment you enter, how light and natural materials affect calm, focus, and connection.
Alongside my husband and Co-Founder, Neil, I built Shepherd Sterling on one conviction: that great design deserves to be protected through every phase — so we work alongside trusted architects and builders to ensure the vision holds from concept to completion.
Whether it's a custom home, a renovation, or a furnishings collection, our promise is the same — guided with intention, crafted with excellence.
