The tow truck driver had told me when he picked up car that the office would email receipt to me Monday. I told him I needed receipt to turn into insurance company for reimbursement. Parents of Northwest Missouri students…read more... My daughter who attends the college in Maryville called me and told me her car wouldn't start. Not knowing any mechanics in Maryville I went on Yelp and found Shell towing and service. I called them and talked with a nice gentleman by the name of Marshall. He told me he would give my daughter a call and set up having her car towed to there shop. Within 30 minutes Marshall had my daughters car picked up from her house. My daughter told me Marshall made her feel comfortable and safe. Marshall called her after getting her car to the shop and said the starter was out and needed to be replaced and it would be $420 including the tow. So my daughter told him to go ahead with the work. She called me about 30 minutes after that conversation and said Marshall reached out to her again and said her original starter was good but it was missing a bolt so they went ahead and put a new bolt in it and her car was ready to go. My daughter told me her bill was just $120 witch was labor and the tow. Marshall and Shell could have easily said they replaced her starter and taken $420 from my daughter. But they were honest and respectful and made my daughter feel safe. It's really nice having someone who you can call, since as parents we aren't able to be in the same town as our kids all the time. They said bring it in and we'll have a look. They worked from late morning until 7 PM the first night in order to fix an oil cooling tube! They had to send away for the part and then made the aftermarket metal part fit the former rubber tube. The team did their very best to get it back together for us so my wife and I could continue our journey the next day. Absolutely top-notch service from Dan and Sam. Highly, highly recommended. They have a five star rating and we will add to that from our experience! Very reasonable prices, too!
