A hidden oasis of calm sandwiched between Shenley and Borehamwood.
I had no idea this huge park even existed.! But it's massive! I was there for the annual Apple Day - a family apple-fest! This took place in the 'Walled Garden' where you could buy almost anything Apple related from the apples picked in the orchard on-site while there were loads of various kids-related activities to keep the younger generation entertained.
In general, Shenley Park is a great place to escape to the countryside with lovely vistas of the surrounding greenery.
There's also a cafe and the food looked awesome but I couldn't face anything having just eaten!! Tagged onto the back of the cafe there is a kids playground to further tire out the little'uns!
Along with Trent Park, which is also close, it's brilliant to have such amazing countryside effectively within London. read more
