We then had a different waitress come over and ask if we had ordered a drink that we didn't order (which had happened many times through the night) and we tried it because we thought it was ours but then when we tasted it and it wasn't, we called her back and told her, she went to give that drink to another table- the one we had already had a sip of! So we just called her back and said we would drink it so she wouldn't give it to someone else. But besides the service the singer they have was very good and it was a very comfortable place.

Port Rexton beer seemed widely available for purchase in stores (Salted Stout anyone?), so at my suggestion, Gayle and I came in here for Lunch. She knows that Brewpubs are a favorite of mine and I thanked her again for indulging me. Ours was a perfect part of the afternoon. We ordered our delicious beers at the counter, along with delicious grill cheese sandwiches (mine with prosciutto) from the adjacent "Oh My Cheeses" "food truck". We sat comfortably in their "living room" by the fire on this cool and cloudy day. And since we wanted to stay "just a little bit longer" we ordered another round! Service was friendly and welcoming, just like what we experienced throughout our Newfoundland trip. WiFi was good and among the available reading materials was a local "coffee table" book about a Toronto couple who left city life 25+ years ago to start a B&B. The maple glazed salmon was also a hit, but I wasn't as impressed with the rice and broccoli it was served with. I think I would select different entrees if I were to go back, but I definitely wouldn't skip any of the appetizers we had! The closest experience I can think of after spending a really nice weekend in Trinity was maybe Mendocino, but without the tourist hordes. The Twine Loft Restaurant was very charming, with stellar down home service, and delicious food options that the kitchen was happy to tweak. We both enjoyed the rustic modern dining room, the romantic ambiance, and the view of the water through the window. Our only regret here was that the weekend we were here was cold and foggy, so there was no real sit on the deck at sunset (or sunrise) option. Dinner was extra special at a fixed price of $65 plus beverages. Gayle chose the Moroccan Lamb Shank with Yogurt Mint Sauce (served with Lemon Herb Israeli Pearl Couscous and Roasted Vegetables), while I went for the Atlantic Salmon with Mango & Pickled Onion Salsa (served with lemon roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables).
