All My Sons Moving & Storage

I hired All My Sons on February 14th to move me from my 2 bedroom apartment to a nearby storage…read moreunit, and my experience was beyond frustrating and unprofessional. When I booked, I was told the hourly rate would be $135 (discounted from $149), plus a 12% service charge, and that my starting total would be around $300 before they even began. I was very clear that I did NOT need any packing materials because I already had my own boxes, tape, and supplies. I was quoted $486 for two hours including the service charge and paid a $100 deposit. The movers were scheduled between 8:30-9:30 AM but called at 7:30 saying they were on the way. Once they arrived, my paid time started while I was made to go through paperwork that should have been handled beforehand. The two movers, Thomas and Xavier started at 8:50. At one point, Xavier literally stood there watching Thomas struggle with my bed frame, and when I asked him, "What are you doing?" he replied, "Looking." That alone speaks volumes about the lack of teamwork and professionalism. Around 9:20 AM, I received a call from a company rep asking, "How is it going?" At that point, nothing had actually been moved yet -- they were still wrapping my couch, which I never requested. I didn't make a big deal out of it because it had only been about 45 minutes into packing and I didn't want my dissatisfaction to impact how they handled my belongings, so I simply responded, "It's going." In my bedroom, nearly an hour was wasted trying to take apart my bed because they didn't bring a drill -- basic equipment for dismantling furniture. What makes it worse is that after spending all that time on it, the bed was still left sitting in my apartment, along with my dining table, gaming chair, several boxes, and other items. I now have to hire another company to finish a job that should have been completed. Luckily I packed my own kitchen up even though they offered a free kitchen pack! They would have never gotten to it at the rate/speed they moved . Without telling me, they left my apartment and went to the next stop while I was still packing. The stop was less than half a mile away , they were supposed to drop a bed off and reassemble it. Because of all the delays/lack of urgency , the bed was only dropped off, not set up. When we arrived at the storage unit, I was told my balance was $861, including $135 for materials I specifically declined. I didn't argue -- I simply reminded them that I had already said no to materials and was told I wouldn't be charged. They removed it, bringing the total to $756, which is still far beyond what I was originally quoted for incomplete work. Nearly $800 for incomplete work. No sense of urgency at all! I should've have had a camera rolling but I didn't think that would be necessary. What upset me the most was the lack of accountability. I didn't receive a single apology, thank you, or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Instead, Thomas got on the phone with someone named Holly on speaker, saying he needed to be paid for all his time. She giggled and said, "I got you, you're good," as if my concerns didn't matter at all. This experience felt disorganized, slow, and misleading from beginning to end. I will never recommend this company. Oh and I decided to take a picture of Xavier after about the 3rd time I walked in and he was on the phone.. I'm not a hard person and I hate babysitting grown people but I guess should have told them to leave the phones in the car and move with urgency!

I believe someone needs to turn them over to the appropriate Attorney Generals office for 'Bait and…read moreSwitch" or something like that. We were quoted approximately $1,000 to move our three bedroom house approximately 20 minutes away from our current house. The interesting part is that we move from the exact two houses in reverse order approximately two years ago and the total cost was $700. The actual movers moved extremely slow and when they arrived at the house, they told me the bill was actually $2,000 and I had to pay before they would start unloading. I felt as though I had no choice and went ahead and paid so they would hold my belongings hostage. I will be calling our Attorney Generals office to report and see what their opinion is.

This is by far the WORST experience i've EVER had while moving. This company owes me about $6000…read moreworth of stuff. DO NOT use this horrible company, unless you want your stuff broken and stolen right out of your own home, RIGHT underneath your nose.

It's not very often that we reply to reviews, but we feel as a professional business, we should address this comment in defense to our work ethic and integrity. I'm sorry that you believe you were treated poorly, but your review is very far from honest. From the moment our men stepped foot onto your property you treated them inhumane and was emotionally and verbally abusive to them. YOUR cameras caught the interactions of you verbally abusing them from your garage. As any human, they noticed your anger escalated quickly and they attempted to de-escalate the situation by leaving and keeping you and themselves safe. You refused to allow them to leave which was holding them hostage. The "camera footage" was reviewed and the case was dismissed because nobody assaulted you. The job was paid for by another person who specifically wanted you off of his property and PAID for the job and told them not to give you the keys to the u-haul. Again, he paid for the job and the u-haul. This job was NOT paid for by you, but someone EVICTING you. I would like to address a few other things. You home was filthy, unsafe, and a serious hazard to our men. Your items were cheaply made and you had a dresser that you taped shut for them to try to move, which they informed you would not hold up. The Gatorade bottle that said mike? We don't have an employee named Mike, so try again on that one. As for accusing our men of being a predator, that is slander. None of our men have a criminal background of pedophilia. I can assure you we have moved thousands of people and our men being fathers themselves, would always insure the safety of children. As for your stolen medication? I don't think was stolen at all, but probably all taken by you which would point out your complete irrationally behavior. The fact that everything was dropped from the police, and that you used two fake names to leave these reviews are enough to rest our case. We our grateful for our customers. I can assure you your one review of complete slander has not affected our business and our awards of best of the best.

Lied every step of the way for our move. I cannot express to you enough how sorry this guy is. He only lied when his mouth was moving. Lots of damaged items, lost hardware to beds and household appliances, unloaded our items, said he'd be back to finish and never showed back up. He didn't contact me until 3 days later when I threatened to stop the payments. When confronted about the damaged items he lost his temper and threw a temper tantrum, then claims there was no damaged items. Honestly thought we'd have to call the cops on this idiot. He even stiffed one of the guys who was helping him, so I had to pay him, too. Had to hire more movers to finish Gish job. Sorriest excuse of a company I've ever used.

I have called numerous times to check on the status. The first couple calls he said again he would have it repaired as originally promised, but now he is no longer answering any of my calls. Please do not employ this person unless you don't particularly care if your personal belongings are destroyed. He may break your stuff, promise to fix it, then disappear. Clearly unprofessional and unreliable.
