Woke up yesterday morning to problems with the toilets in both bathrooms backing up. Called Shellback Plumbing at 7 am and by 9 am Chad was here. He did a fantastic job of fixing the situation in a little over an hour and I was pleased with the fair and reasonable charge. Our house is 50 years old so this problem with pipes happens periodically; over the years we have called many plumbers for help but I would have to say that Shellback was the most responsive and reasonably priced of all. Genuine, and honest. Were up front and honest with pricing. Unlike many experiences I've had with contractors, these guys gave me a quote including requirements to bring my water heater system to code. No upsells after beginning the job. Then they explained the breakdown of costs up front, just that easy. One guy came, wanted to charge me an additional $1000 on top of what my home warranty was going to pay. They told me I had to pay for the parts and labor to bring the water heater system up to code since the home warranty doesn't pay for it. Most of the labor install for the new code is done while reassembling the plumbing for the new system. Researched the parts required to bring the system to code, $300. So I took the $800 cash from my home warranty company, paid the few hundred remaining balance which was no where near $1000. read more

My go-to plumber was Doug who owned Clearwater Plumbing. When I called Doug, I found out he had merged with Shellback Plumbing. Knowing what a great guy Doug was/is, it doesn't surprise me he merged with such an awesome company. Anyway, a shampoo bottle cap fell down my tub drain and caused a complete blockage. Doug had an all day job the day I called, so Shellback sent Alex out. OMG, Alex is the nicest guy. He tried the easiest and quickest option first which was to simply vacuum the bottle cap out, but it didn't work. So he had to go under the house to access the drain, take it apart, and get the cap out. He worked his butt off. He even had to dig dirt away because there wasn't enough clearance for him to get to the drain. It ended up being a two hour job. And the price was way less than I thought it was going to be. read more

Five star all the way! I had a regular yellow page business on their way for estimate to unclog 2 bathroom sinks and install new faucets. The yellow page guy calls and says on his way do I want an estimate over the phone. I think he already knew I would choke over a price for a clog 4 years ago had tripled to $379. I was shocked. Told me he used to work for Shellback and they were honest. They text you when on their way and arrive on time. Edgar was very nice and cleaned up after spending over an hour on a clog on two sinks. 60 years of who knows what sink this is an old garage made into a MIL type room. Sink has been slow for over 20 years but the room really never was used only for company. At first I was shocked at final price but we realized the other rooter place would have charged the $379 for each sink and that price would not include install of faucets and all new hardware provided under the sink includes water supply lines for two sinks. We called Shellback Plumbing because we were experiencing "water hammer" in our upstairs toilet. I was very impressed with the service that we received. We received a text the day before to remind us of the appointment and we also got a text from the plumber as he was making his way towards our home. They also arrived exactly when they said they would arrive. Our appointment time was between 8 and 10 am and he arrived shortly after 8 a.m. Alex checked our water pressure since that would probably be the most likely culprit causing the water hammer but he found the water pressure to be normal. After doing some checking Alex found that the angle stop behind our toilet was barely open causing pressure to back up and not flow easily. This could have been a costly repair. A lesser company could easily have recommended that we cut a hole in the wall and replace the pipes to fix the issue . While he was here Alex replaced our kitchen sink faucet and one of our bathroom sink faucets which needed replacing badly. He also replaced the internal parts of our downstairs toilet which was running. We were very pleased with the work that Alex did, he was very professional, efficient, informative and overall a good guy. It was a pleasure having him in our home. I was also able to get a military discount for being retired Navy. I feel we have just found our new Plumbing Service. I called on 8/24 to get the kitchen drain snaked to clear the clog that's all I wanted. Did not have anything available until the following day 8/25, so I scheduled it for the late afternoon. Arrived on time and got to working. I mentioned that the leak detection company needed the drain clear before scoping with a camera. I also mentioned that the kitchen was already taken apart and I filled a claim with my insurance. Plumber stopped at about 15' without attempting another time. He said that too clogged for the snake. He wanted to hydrojet the drain and I di want to go through with it because I didn't want to take a chance on creating more damage with high pressure. I was charged a fee for a job that was not done. I called the following day to request a receipt and to get the job done properly. This morning the plumber came out and just called the office and said they needed to hydrojet or scope with their camera since I had a claim with the insurance. This is not good business practice. Your vehicles have honesty and integrity painted on it, but that's not the service I received. I am extremely disappointed to have been treated with a disservice as a disabled veteran, especially coming from a veteran owned business. Let's start with a double sink drain stoppage. During a pandemic. Called Shellback Plumbing, their tech Eddie came out and worked for over an hour and a half trying to work around our house's previous owner's amateur re-plumbing job with no success. They gave us a fair and reasonable estimate to install an access point that would avoid any future problems. I called Shellback plumbing for a clogged toilet. My daughter dropped her glasses in the toilet and flushed it. The glasses clogged up the toilet. I called Shellback and got a price quote from Gary and was told a technician will be in our house in the next 30 minutes. Corey the technician came to assess the situation. He was able to fix the clogged toilet by taking out the toilet bowl and used the snake to try to retrieve the glasses. He was not able to retrieve the glasses but the toilet is not clogged up anymore. The next day, our shower started draining slowly and then the day after, all our shower drains and another toilet bowl clogged up. I called Shellback plumbing again thinking it's probably the glasses that clogged up the main line. Corey came back to reassess the situation. He was able to fix the problem.What I'm disappointed about is that I got charged twice for the problem that could have been fixed by the first visit. If he could have resolve the first problem, I could have not have a bigger problem on the second visit. read more
