However, it is worth noting that when it comes to late night beer runs Ken's is safe. Not only is it located practically on the UNC Campus in University Square adjacent to Granville Towers (which has its own security), but it's only a few doors down from a satellite office of the Chapel Hill Police Department. The staff is nice as well, even late into the night. If the party's gone dry, you need a late night sugar fix, or are just in search of this week's Vogue, Ken's will likely have it. And, more importantly, as safety has recently become an issue in Chapel Hill Ken's might be a wise choice.

No need to go to the cramped CVS pharmacy on Fayetteville for basic medicine needs. In the drink area they have all the favorites -- sodas, teas, juice, energy drinks, and even beer and wine. The only thing they DON'T have that I wish they did is UNsweetened seltzer -- they only have a sweetened kind that I really don't like. For food they have a small frozen section with frozen food and ice cream, then a snack section, a Krispie Kreme booth, and even some things to take home to cook (soup, mac n cheese, etc). In terms of medicine, they have pretty much anything standard you'd need. It's not a pharmacy but there's meds for allergies, cold/flu, pain, and more.
