Funny, my instinct is usually on point, but this time around, it had me go round and round and around a corner or two before I found this Shell gas station LOL. It's located at the corner of Sunset Blvd and W Covina Parkway. Another funny, if I drove about one block further, I would have been on S Glendora Ave and there are a few other gas stations that had slightly better gas prices. Oh well, it's all good. I needed gas immediately and this Shell came to the rescue. Gas station was clean and well maintained. I normally don't spend too much time at a gas station. I have gone to this gas station three times, and today was the third and last time. Each time that I have gone, there has always been an issue or bad service. One time I bought chips from this location and they were stale and expired. Another time the cashier came out from the store and accused me of leaving a car abandoned there. If it sounds crazy, I know. Today I went in with a gift card and he told me they do not accept shell gift cards. He said they don't accept Shell gift cards for the gas pump or for inside the store. They were not willing to accept my card. This place needs an overhaul or it needs to shut down. It carries the Shell name but it does not conduct business like a proper establishment. Like, 2 hours early due to a scheduling error done by their office staff. I figured I'd make the most of it and find somewhere to go where I can run errands or maybe get in some early Christmas shopping. So I pull into this shell station to park and pull up Nearby places on yelp. I was about ready to leave when there's a knock on my window. The cashier dude is standing there. So I like that its really got big turn in openings so that I don't get on the lanes. There are some stations that have tiny little openings that expect you to turn in nicely. Went in last week on my way back home to buy a Dutch wrap. This guy right here was the cashier that night and of course he asked for my ID. One of my tires had low pressure and I wanted to fill it up with air. However, I had an important phone call. An old man in a shell polo shirt was condescending and talked down to me even though I motioned to him several times that I was on the phone and had to take this important call. Mind you, I drive a 2018 Porsche SUV with a sticker in the back of a specific military branch that I serve. He still repeated himself over and over again like I'm taking up a parking spot designated for his business, yet there were no other cars parked there. In terms of service, this Shell location is the worst. In terms of price, this place is okay. The last time I came was probably 6-8 months ago. I decided to pay in cash so I had to walk into the store to pay. But the door was locked and no one was inside. A minute later, a guy came and unlocked the door and went to the cash register so I can pay for gas. After paying, I went back to my car and started to dispense gas until I realized my rewards was not reflected correctly or it was applied to the credit price instead of cash price. As I was staring at the sign, the guy comes out of the store with a stepping ladder and proceeded to change the numbers on the sign. That was not fair. When the gas dispenser stopped, it didn't reach all the way to the amount I paid and the machine said to go inside for change. So I went inside for my 69 cent change, and the guy grudgingly handed over the change with the dirtiest and ugliest coins that I did not even want to put in my wallet. I have been putting Shell gas in my car for a few years. My car takes diesel. This location had the best price at the moment. I always use the Brea Canyon Rd location in DB. The attendant at this location corner of Sunset & West Covina Pkwy is beyond rude . I rather pay 30 cents more at my home location than go to this place again. Don't waste your time here if you plan on using a credit or debit card. The pumps almost never work when using a card.

The only reason I go inside the gas station is when my debit card doesn't read. So I went inside to punch in my rewards and to put $25 dollars for gas. The cashier William, was being rude because the pin pad wasn't working. He then starts being rude so then I had to leave and figure it out on my own, checking which gas pump works. This is the first time I've wanted to give a review to warn people in a long time. Aside from me getting gas here every other week, I've also gone in the Food Mart to buy water and snacks on occasion. After seeing the consistent negative reviews this gas station has received, I'm not surprised by the treatment I received just to heat up my food. I was literally in the Food Mart for no more than 5 mins. In that time frame the two employees or owners practically stared at me while I was waiting. When I finally waved to say hello, they asked what I was doing here. "I'm just waiting for my food to finish heating up." That's when one of them went off and asked if I asked for permission or bought anything (gas/food/drink). I explained that I've never had to ask for permission at any gas station big or small to use their microwave and mentioned that I have been at their gas station over a dozen times to either fill up or buy supplies when needed. They then told me, "get your food and leave, for customers only!" Did y'all not hear what I just said..."I've been at this station multiple times" LOL. Cashier goes ballistic and yells for me to return the keys, saying that it is for customers only. I have filled up numerous times here in the past. I would bought a bottle of water or even filled up my gas tank if he asked a bit more nicely, but because of the way he yelled at me, I don't think I will be a customer here ever again.
