I have been in there a quite a few times and bought lottery tickets most of the time it has been $50 00 or more in the machine But if you get a winning ticket your told that the machine is not working and they can't cash your ticket. I would give this 0 stars if I could. Oh, and this gas station IS STILL OPEN. Why it is reported as such, I have no idea. Gas is priced .75 to sometimes 1.00 MORE THAN the competitors (and again, there is one 40 feet across the street at a traffic light)! See my photo of the regular unleaded gas priced at 3.75 (yes it SAYS 3.75), when the going price for a gallon of 87 octane ranges at about 2.80 right now. The ONLY way you get the gas at the "going rate" is if you purchase a car wash, which is probably another $7 out of your pocket. The sign at first glance is also misleading, which could be the reason a few cars do go in here and then figure out the reality once their gas is pumping.. There is literally NO reason whatsoever to go to this gas station, unless your car were to run out of gas just as you would make a turn into here. There is also a gas station and food mart directly across the street, and this both are situated at a 4-way traffic light. Again, unless somebody is a real idiot, there is no reason to go here. It is amazing that this kind of gas station is still in business. The gas station has large price sign with large letters for gasoline price with car wash which is about 10 cents less than nearby. Normally the price with car wash is 10-15 cents per gallon less than without car wash. I was pumping my gas and notice how quickly the "total price" is going up. Then I noticed the price of gas without car wash is $1.00 more per gallon!!! I felt cheated because I have never seen anything like this. I think Yelp should allow a zero(0) star option for this kind places. I have never left any review with less than 3 stars, but this place should get zero. I wonder if Shell Oil Corp is not going to do anything to a gas station that tarnish its brand reputation. I will look into it. read more

For last few weeks the pumps do not work, they are so slow they never complete the request, put the Fuel Reward card in and nothing, nothing, nothing then it times out. Frozen or broken window squeegees. Clown sitting inside is no help. Never ever stopping there again! read more

Beware of this gas station! The price on their sign said 2.44 per gallon with wash. I didn't want a wash, I figured I'd pay the extra 20 cents or whatever. The price came up on the pump at 3.67 a gallon!!!!!! Over a dollar more than anywhere in the state of Illinois!!!! I asked the cashier if that was a mistake and he said nope. That's how much it costs without the car wash!! Get the &():$?&@("!?,)$$? Outta here!!!! So I pulled out and went to Thorntons across the street and paid 2.43. Be careful!!!! this gas station like to deceive people by putting the price sign with car wash and no car wash $1 different so you will think that it is the same price with or without. Look like it is cheaper than their competitor across the street, the truth is their price is $1 more per gallon. We're really upset with shell now. WATCH OUT THERE!!!!! They advise "free wash" with 8 gallon fill up BUT it is only for ONE SPECIFIC type of wash. The type of wash special" is written in small print (dah!) below the price per gallon with car wash. I selected another type of wash and ended paying extra 11 dollars for a wash worth 3 dollars. I talked to the counter guy who was rude and dismissing. Not recommended at all. Avoid the place! read more

Just a quick warning to those in the area looking for gas only (no car wash)... I pulled in and was about to fill up my tank. Luckily, I glanced at the price before pumping and it was listed at $3.10!!! However, if you purchased a car wash the price dropped to $2.09. The average price in the area was around $2.25/gal. I understand giving a discount if you purchase a car wash, but I've never seen this big of a price variation. I cancelled my transaction and went inside to verify this was the correct price and the person behind the desk smirked and said it was correct. Smells like illegal drugs in this store. Seriously stinks! The car wash is from the old Phillips 66 in Carol Stream. The parts are totally worn down and sounds like sandpaper when you go through it. I don't recommend this place. read more

This gas station smells awful. I fell for the car wash price come to find out gas is almost $1 more than all the other gas stations.

Do not do business with this gas station or with Shell. Their car wash door caused damage to our vehicle and they will not pay for the repair. They were disrespectful and condescending and chose to provide a very low level of customer service. We reported the issue to Shell and they refuse to take responsibility. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We will no longer do business with Shell. read more

Be careful as their advertised normal gas price is only valid if you purchase their expensive ($22 when I was there yesterday) car wash. And it's not even cheap gas. If you don't buy the car wash, it's a $1 more per gallon. Go across the street as the gas is cheaper and the tanks are newer (they just built it a year ago). read more

Arrived at the gas station at 10:26 pm on 6/15/2018 - Gas priced at $3.70 a gallon; but I figured I needed a car wash so; OK - Used this facility before and had no issues - Got 9 1/2 gallons and Ultimate wash; spent $43 - Everything has been updated and I have gotten a car wash late in the past and figured it should not be a problem - Pumped my gas and ready for a wash - sorry car wash closed - No sign at car wash entrance - No indication at pump that car wash closed - Went inside to ask why car wash was closed and the only response was that the wash purchase was good for 30 days - Nothing else / not a reason or Hey the wash closes at this time (don't know why i would be closed anyway; it is Self Service) - I did not go there for a wash in the next 30 days and it really is not a convenient location - I could have gone down to the BP station on Rt 59 & North Ave and got gas and a wash - So now to use this I have to make a special trip to get my car washed - If you go there; be aware of the gas Pricing and I guess get there before 10pm? to use the car wash - Good luck read more

Owner is shady and the signs are misleading intentionally. Sign said gas with car wash, $3.10, gas without car wash, $2.10. We got the car wash, employee charged us double for our car wash, and refused to give us the cheaper gas price even with the wash. Don't give them business, their only interest is ripping you off.
