To whoever this may concern, I am writing this review in regards to an employee that may or may not work at this particular Shell, so this post will be added to other locations. Tonight on 6/14/26, around 3:55 AM, a Caucasian male of around 40s-50s, full blonde mustache, blue eyes, either bald or short hair under his hat, wearing a Shell uniform with almost baggy black shorts, black wrist band likely a watch of sorts, was stopping by my place of work as we are open late to shop. Earlier, we had a difficult incident of theft where one individual threatened gun violence, something that I told him and his group he was with that we will be closed for a bit to avoid that scenario coming true. He exclaimed to me no the fuck you're not, you're gonna be open because I need to get milk for my baby. I did not tolerate that behavior and told him forget it I was gonna be nice and let only you in and refused him service, to which he then said fuck you multiple times and other expletives. I wasn't able to get a good look at his name tag as he shined a light from his phone or a flashlight to prevent me from having a good looks but it looks like he was barely leaving work around the time I listed. Love the employees here. They're amazing. The only downside is the car wash isn't always operating because they're short staffed.

As another reviewer said, rude and unprofessional. Employees here are assholes. Both times I've come here they've waved me off before I can even finish the transaction. Both times 2 different employees made a mistake and then gaslit me as if it was my error. If I treated my customers the same way, I wouldn't have all the repeat business and referrals I get. Next time I need gas or a snack in this area, I'll just go to the mobil across the street that I used to go to all the time when I frequently worked in the area. read more

I noticed it shows this place as closed however I was just here the other week so maybe I was at a bizarro Shell station in a different dimension? Regardless, I can still leave a review, and a good one at that. I pay before fueling up, and the first thing I noticed was how clean this place appeared to be. Certainly wasn't in a typical dinghy LA gas station. There were 2 men behind the counter who were friendly, and since this was going well, I decided to play the lottery (I didn't win). Overall, clean facility, decent service, and fuel is slightly less out this way which made this a 4-star experience. read more

The staff here is absolutely amazing!!! My license Plate Fell off in the car wash and I didn't realize until I had already went home. Luckily the Cashier, Graciela, answered the phone and found my license plate for me in the car wash. read more

So when I came to put gas in my car at this Shell the pump, was clicking every 2-3 seconds, without actually pumping any gas. I asked the guy working if he could come out and take a look, because I had never seen this happen before and when he pulled the pump out of my car, it sprayed gas all over my car. I asked him if I could just have a refund. He then directed me to the pump ahead of me, which did the same exact thing. When I checked my gas to see if any gas had gone into my car I was at the exact same mileage as when I pulled up so I payed $20 for gas and got nothing. The clerk working seemed to think that giving me back a $10 refund when I paid $20 for gas was sufficient?? I had to plead with him and explain that I got absolutely no gas in my car, offered to show him my completely empty tank before he huffed and puffed and refunded me. So rude and unprofessional. Went to get two monthly car wash decals and the guy working the car wash was rude. He was upset I entered the car wash area without an actual permit. I could of course buy a single car wash but I wanted to buy one for me and one for my daughter, unlimited. I guess when the shop doesn't belong to you it's okay to treat customers your way. There was nowhere else to park other than entering the car wash. That's what it's for, for car washes. So, we went to Mobile across the street. read more

As far as this gas station goes the only way you will save money at the pump is by getting a car wash. Otherwise the prices will be 10 cents more. The Mobil across the street is cheaper. At least this gas station has diesel fuel. read more

I've been to this Shell station several times throughput the years and have found it to be competitively priced, considering it's location. I came here today because Cecilia was thirsty and she needed 13 gallons. $51 for a full tank? I remember when it only cost $20 for a full tank...back in the good old Bush years! Btw, you'll shave $.10 off a gallon when you purchase a car wash. Not too shabby. The Premium Wash scrubs your rims too. This was actually one of the better automated washes I've used. Anywho, very conveniently located with access off both Sunflower & Fairview. Last thing, there is no Food Mart, but there is an ATM machine and they have a clean unisex restroom! I been coming to this gas station for few years only because it's just across the street from my work place. Gas prices are ok. Around the same price as other places. I haven't had any bad experiences with the employees or owner, but the carwash well that's a different story. Even though they upgrade the carwash etc. it sometimes doesn't work correctly. Out of the few times I been through the carwash, one time it had me enter but nothing happened. I had to go tell the employee which they reset it for me. This other time it didn't dry my car, so guess who had to hand dry it?! Me!!! Grrr. When it does air dry the car, as your driving out of the wash water drops are still dripping from the top and get the car wet. There's another carwash but further away that I go to, but when in a hurry I come here. read more

I used to enjoy being able to depend on this particular fuel station for last minute fill ups and refills on my BBQ's propane tank. I really appreciated that this particular station continued to offer refill service when all other gas stations in the area have moved to exchange type, flat fee propane service. Who could blame them; the days of skilled gas station attendants are long gone and it just doesn't pay to require the skills required to refill tanks when you can offer a quick and easy exchange. Sadly however, they seem to miss the mark in terms of how they actually charge for refilling propane and their concept of a "minimum charge" is actually a "flat fee, per tank" refill; quite a big difference. I hope they read the reviews and tips, and make good on the disconnect, there are other stations around and customers will certainly go OUT of the way to not bring their business somewhere they don't feel treated well. read more

This particular Shell station has the drive through car wash. Please do not ever get your car washed at this location. My husband warned me that the last time he got his car washed at this location was a few years back and that his wind shield wiper was torn off. I, being naive, thought that over the past few years, they must have made some improvements.........Not so. I knew I made a bad, bad decision when those really humongous, flapping, black, strips of rubber started coming towards the windshield...shaking side to side....When they cha cha'd over the car....it sounded like golf-ball sized hail pelting the roof of the car. It was so loud, I could not even express my anxiety out loud as you could not hear my cries of horror! Then, the cha cha'ing, stringy, loud, flapping monster fringe made its way from the back of the car to the front.....Oiy. My new car and I escaped without major damage...although my nerves took about 20 minutes to recover. Tip: If you go to a gas station car wash..make sure it is touch-free!! read more

Don't support their practices. The prices are posted on a well lite sign usually 10 cents cheaper than most in the area. Once you pull in you'll see a banner that lists prices (10 cents cheaper) if you purchase a car wash. This is a sneaky trick and most consumers don't know you can change their practice with your wallet. Avoid this station unless you want to to pay above competitive price or a forced car wash. I for one avoid it until they stop forcing car washes. It's simply a quick cash grab from hard working customers. Unless you enjoy throwing money away at greedy business owners, find a better station near by. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. The person working tonight is so disrespectful. I work night and come here to pump and because I have a long drive home I ask to use the restroom and every single time it's this same person never lets me use the restroom . Horrible customer service and it's conveniently after it gets cleaned. I used to work at the gas station so I get it. I went to get my car washed here on Easter Sunday. Paid $2 for "The Works". You get a $3 discount if you pour 8 gallons of gas. What a deal! $3! I'm all about saving money yo. I was going to spend the $3 I saved on 10-piece Chicken McNuggets at the McDonalds right down the street. Entered my code and slowly drove into the big machine. Lots of water and soap sprayed onto my car. AWWW SHIIEETT! Water and Soap! So far so good. Those giant colored, flapping, rubber things started moving back and forth on the side of my car and also on top of my windshield. It shook my car so violently that I thought there was a 7.2 earthquake going on (actually there really was a 7.2 earthquake at that moment). Anyways the flappers stopped...2 at the front side doors and the top one right on top of my windshield. It kept flapping away. 5 minutes passed. 10 minutes. 20 minutes. WTF! The machine was broken and wouldn't stopping cleaning my car. I was afraid I'd damage my car if I drove out so I sat there. I got the phone number for the gas station attendant and explained to her what was happening. "Hello I'm stuck in your carwash. I've been here for 30 minutes." She told me to wait. She told me it would stop soon. I waited another 10 minutes and called her again. "Hello I'm still stuck in your carwash." She tells me to wait some more. I call back in 10 minutes. "Hello I'm still here. F@ck you get me out of here." Finally she comes out of her booth to look. She looks like she's 10 years old. She presses a few buttons on the display at the front of the carwash and then leaves. I wait another 15 minutes and call again. "I'm still here. What are you doing?" She pretends she doesn't know what's going on and that I haven't called her 3 times already. She finally says she's going to call for help. I wait some more. The carwash is still spraying water on my car and the flappers are still flapping. After a while I call her again. She says she called her uncle and he's coming over from Riverside. "That's 1 hour away!" Anyways I get to talk to the uncle and he calls 911 and firetrucks come. The fireman got the carwash to stop and freed me. I think the entire Santa Ana Fire Department was there. In total, I was stuck in that carwash for almost 2 hours. Later that night it rained even though the weatherman said it wouldn't. If u have a new car or nicer one, u shouldn't get it washed here! If u want ur other car clean then it's ok at 3, 4 or 5 bucks. Cons: Heavy-handed spinning machine slaps car hard, altho the flaps seem to be industrial shammies. Other review (Sharon M.) said it sounds like golf balls on ur car...very true, tho no dents, I think. No true soap or wax as advertised but just water with a tiny hint of bubbles. I should have known this place was a little shady when "The Works" was $5.00. First off, the machine used barely any soap at all. But the worst was how hard the rubber flaps hit my car. My whole car shook. I thought my antenna was going to be ripped off! Surprisingly, the car was somewhat clean...but not worth the danger. False advertising of a much lower price than they really charge. They are LYING to the cars passing by. I noticed the price, and drove back 2 miles to buy gas, and noticed the sign was posting a low price, but once you get there, there is the FINE PRINT about terms. That should be illegal. I took advantage of the .10 cents a gallon discount and purchased a car wash. Something seemed a little strange when the side verticle brushes impacted the side of my car when they were not spinning. The device broke off my passenger side rear view mirror. The manager said that they were not responsible for any vehicle damage and offered to pay me $50.00. My damage was $700 (mirror plus body damage) I will NEVER do business with them again. read more

I just got off of work from driving a bus all day long on a Friday. I wanted to knock a little dirt off my truck. I had just got paid. I paid the fee for a middle price car wash and went into the car wash. I must say it was a new better car wash than the one on Balboa ave. in San Diego which did an incredibly horrible car wash. This one is managed by the same manager. This one is located on Convoy and Clairemont Mesa. in San Diego. I drove into the car wash and when it was almost completed this big brush arm. came by and knocked the drivers mirror right off the truck. I told the gas station attendant and he went into the car wash to retrieve the mirror that has been over 30 days. I have not received a resolution for the damage nor have I heard from the person that makes the final decision. I have had my mirror taped 30 days taped. I have no other choice but to take it to a different level. Big corporations should not be allowed to take advantage over regular people. read more
