Today, May 3, 2025, I went into this location to purchase Texas Lottery Tickets. The scratch off I selected, showed the next number being 50. When the clerk handed me the ticket, it was number 45. I questioned the clerk and before she could answer, another clerk said that the customer didn't want it. She refused to explain why there were 4 tickets out of sequence. Use caution when purchasing Texas Lotto tickets at this location. read more

Before I could finish my sentence, while simultaneously showing my prescription, she interrupted and said "No, we don't have those". That's weird because it's a very common item. The Tech gave me the look like she's lying but had to go through with it. She said we have been out of it for over a month. Funny, because my Caucasian neighbor literally went there 2 days prior to me going, and go the same item that they were "magically out of for over a month". This Pharmacist is racist and clearly has a chip on her shoulder. Possibly got an unfair advantage when getting admitted into Pharmacy School ("D"idn't "E"arn "I"t, strikes again) Then, after leaving, I received an email from Walgreens asking "how they did". I surely left as detailed as a response as possible. A few days later, received a phone call from a San Antonio number, who identified himself as the District Manager. This guy seemed like he was just "going through the motions" and didn't actually have sincerity in his responses. Then acted like he magically was surprised. What? There are SEVERAL negative reviews all dedicated to this Pharmacist. Best advice, go to a different pharmacy establishment all together. NOT RECOMMENDED. 1 out of 5 stars.

A ton of the runners and spectators needed a little coffee fix after the race, so Chaparral had a huge rush while I was in town. This created a long line and a long back order of drinks. Instead of complaining about how long it took and OH MY GOSH HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME WAIT, I have to give them credit. Though the 3 people working were slammed, they were churning out orders quickly and efficiently, fighting off the rush one drink at a time. It took about 20ish minutes to get my coffee, but after getting my hot lavender latte with oat milk, it was worth the wait. It was a very quality cup, and it was just what I needed to start my day. The shop is super narrow, but super cute and stylish. The roadrunner LED on the wall really added to the shop's character. Next time I'm in Lockhart, I'll go out of my way to get back to Chaparral. Then it finally said to drive forward, it never submitted our order to the window and then their computer crashed while we were at the window to place our order a second time. We tried to tell them their AI was bad and wasn't working right, got no response from the person working. We drove away frustrated. Using AI is unnecessary for fast food orders. Will not go through the drive thru here again.

The bees weren't a problem until they started attacking me while I cut my grass on a riding mower, at which point I knew they had to go. I spoke with Kenny about the problem, and he came over and removed the bees to make my yard safe again. He was also very gentle with the bees and took the whole birdhouse (after asking me) because it was FULL of honeycomb/brood (eggs/larvae)/etc, [see my photos] so that he could "rehome" them to a hive box. I was happy to know that the bees weren't just being exterminated and would continue to live to pollinate and make honey. Kenny is very professional, was committed to the difficult task to being the heavy hive down from high in the tree (!!!), and didn't mind the dozens of questions I had about bees, bee keeping, the bee hive, etc. :-) I highly recommend his services for any bee removal needs, and for honey! I will be one of his honey customers the next time I drive through Lockhart.

I go to pic n pac every morning until I heard this one guy, walk in and say you can't wear that to one of the employees, very rudely, the next morning I asked what that was about and she said, that is Dennis, our regional manager he's very strict and we are always being watched on camera etc, for $12 an hour to be stocked by some creepy old dude and harassed for wearing piercings? I would argue that they are right up there with some of the top in Austin. Ironically, one would never think that a Shell station convenience store could possibly serve up some of the most bad-ass hamburgers, but they do. The meat is previously frozen, but who cares when they are specialty seasoned, grilled with love and care, and assembled into a monstrosity of a sandwich that we dub "The Hamburger"....Yes my friends, it is a beautiful hamburger. Prettier than the Mona Lisa and much tastier too! My friends and family and I always make a point to stop by here, write down our order, and wait to dive into hamburger bliss. Those country ladies know how its done.
