It opened in April 2014. It's part of a bigger, several-years-long construction plan, which includes the Zaxby's next door, to develop all the red, barren land in the immediate block. RaceTrac, which is headquartered in Atlanta, is the only convenience store and gas station chain that can really compete against QuikTrip, which, while headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, rules the metro Atlanta market. These RT6K stores are great. Like QT's current gen stores, they're big, bright, modern, and clean. They're open 24/7, offer a bevy of food, drink, and retail options, and are outfitted with a crew of uniformed employees. A few things that set RaceTrac apart from QT: (1) RaceTrac has both indoor and outdoor seating. QT only has outdoor seating. (2) RaceTrac has Swirl World, a self-serve frozen yogurt bar. QT does not. However, I have to caveat #2 -- the Swirl World machines were out of operation at this location during my visit. There was a sign posted that said they would be "swirling" again soon. (3) They offer fresh, hot, boiled peanuts in two flavors, original and Cajun, for $1.99 for 16 oz. and $2.99 for 32 oz. QT doesn't have fresh boiled peanuts. The gas station is spacious with easy in-and-out access from Jimmy Carter Blvd. There are 18 pumps. All have E-85 flex fuel and I believe all also have diesel. The gas prices are competitive. Like all businesses, RaceTrac isn't perfect. Two places where QT wins are: (1) Free air. QT offers free air for your tires. RaceTrac doesn't. You have to pay. (2) Top Tier detergent gasoline. QT uses Top Tier fuel. RaceTrac doesn't. Regardless, this is still a good gas station.

It's a gas station, so I didn't expect to see a lot of reviews here, but I personally like this…read morelocation so far and thought I'd leave a few words. If you're staying at Knights Inn or Red Roof Inn, then this place is a perfect pit stop for snacks or beverages. If you're like my fiance and I right now without a car, it's walking distance from both motels - super convenient. You'll find all your usual junk food here, with a pretty wide selection of instant ramen noodles compared to most gas stations and a big selection of Latin American snacks. There's also stuff like hard boiled eggs and pickles, if you're trying to keep it low carb. There are even items like tennis shoes, gloves, winter hats, and scented candles here which not every gas station carries. It was a good place to grab a few things as we wait out this coronavirus pandemic. Things that were gone from places like a Walmart or Kroger were still in stock here like baby wipes and individual toilet paper/paper towel rolls. Obviously the price wouldn't be as cost effective for those items, but in a pinch, this place would provide a reasonable option. Yes, there are a few questionable individuals that seem to hang around or frequent the area, but like in any public space just use common sense and be aware of your surroundings. You are near two cheap motels and it is a gas station, so you're gonna be near all kinds of people when shopping here. My fiance and I haven't had any problems so far with staff or customers. I'd recommend it for a quick stop if need be, although I believe the store is only open till midnight. There's a QuikTrip down the road for 24 hour convenience, if you don't mind the walk or have a car.

I've never been to this one until last month, when my hubby needed a COVID test to return to work. We scheduled ahead of time online but were running super late as I had just got off work and was already fighting traffic - add an accident to that and we were really behind. I called before even leaving our apartment, letting them know the situation. I can't speak on the retail staff, but the pharmacy staff was really nice and said they would still take us when we got there with an ETA of about 10-15 minutes. When we arrived, unfortunately, we ended up stuck in the drive-thru line behind about ten cars or so. We decided to just wait it out and see if they would still take us. We would've just gone inside if it was for anything other than a COVID test. By the time we got up to the front, it had to have been about 5:30. So we were like 45 minutes late or so at this point, as opposed to the projected (already late) time of 5:00. The gentleman who greeted us at the drive-thru counter behind the glass was not going to accept us at first. Thankfully after explaining that we called ahead and were stuck behind an accident and stuck in the pharmacy line, he and his co-workers decided to still help us and process my hubby's test that evening. We were so thankful, considering they didn't have to. From there the rest went smoothly. My hubby self-administered the rapid molecular ID now test and got his results in less than an hour, very quickly (and thankfully, negative!) The results were emailed to us without issue, just like the other locations do. We have no complaints with this Walgreens as a test site and were very thankful for the compassionate staff that still got us in, so my hubby could get back to work. We would come here again for testing if need be and recommend it to you if you need one and are in the area. So far Walgreens as a whole has been my favorite business to COVID test with as the process is generally smooth and results are quick!

A quick search on my GasBuddy app told me that gas was $3.14/gallon here yesterday, but I guess the price had shot up 15 cents since then. Boo. This Chevron gas station is one of the tiniest that I have ever seen. There are only six pumps, and the convenience store is just as small to match. The pump machines looked very old, but at least I could still pay at the pump with my credit card. I thought the little "keypad" was funny because they were literally like keys on a computer keyboard. I guess all that matters is that it worked, and it worked just fine. Overall, this Chevron gets 3 stars for doing it's job just fine, but I could see it getting crowded when their gas price is lower since there are only six pumps. I probably won't return unless I happen to be in the area and running out of gas again. [Review 321 of 366]

Unknown to me apparently Chevron has allowed independent owners to charge whatever they want as a hold on a credit card transaction. The norm is $1. Here is some advice to the owner..stop that! You will only lose customers with this stupidity.
