You don't even need to be a Co-op member. Nice. The attached convenience store is clean and well-organized. The touchless carwash is slightly better than average for the same or slightly cheaper price than an older style ($7.99 for a basic wash with 30L gas purchase - that's up a buck since last year). I like that there's a water blaster at the start to get the heavy soil off the tires, rocker panels and bumpers. The surround dryer while not great is still better than the older drive-thru timed centre-hung ones.

There is also lots of free parking for anyone who is waiting for a flight to arrive and a convenient car wash to polish up the car before picking up , which was added a few years ago. Gas used to be a few pennies cheaper than other gas stations ( sadly not anymore but it was a great way to bring people to go here instead ). Staff wise.. they used to be a lot friendlier than they are now. The other night I went in and not only did they not say the usual greeting but even at the till , the cashier rang up my purchase and never said anything. When I asked if he can toast my purchased sub, he pointed at the microwave and said " Use the microwave ". .. umm OK.. So in other words.. cant be bothered with serving the customer. Good thing I didnt buy a pizza and being told to put it in the microwave. This guy couldnt care less. The place is very clean though .. and yes I even checked the bathroom ( if its messy, you know how the staff treat the place ). But like I said.. it's a convenient location for a quick bite and fill up the tank with free parking .

I decided to try it, even though my usual gas station of choice would be Shell. I like how they have new pumps which are entirely blue. It is a nice change from the usual red or black color you see at other gas stations. There are 12 pumps, so a lot of people can be accomodated. I was also impressed that their car wash was also open 24 hours. Few car washes in the city are open for this period of time, granted the temperatures are reasonable. What I was most impressed with was their drive-thru Tim Horton's...also open 24 hours! Sure you can go to the one across the street, but it's very convenient since you're already there. I realize this location will not stay 'new' forever, however there are a lot of convenient services located at one location, making it one of the best Esso's I have been to in the city.

Fas Gas Black Gold Service
You can tell life isn't too exciting when you're reviewing a gas station. Here's the thing though…read morewhen it comes to gas in Leduc usually Fas Gas (and the CO-OP on 50th Street) has the lowest prices. Sometimes its only a cent/litre difference, but sometimes it's several cents (the Hughe's is often 10 cents more than other places). I also find Fas Gas is one of the last stations in town to raise it's prices and one of the first to drop them. There's a convenience store here, but I usually just fill up (pay with card) and go. Only thing I can say is it can get busy here (with the after 5 work crowd) probably because the gas here is usually the cheapest in town. And sometimes the pumps won't print a receipt, but if you need that you can always go in the store. I've filled up here several times and will likely do so again at some point.

I like this location as it is easy to get in to and out off as it is just off Wye Road in Sherwood Park. They have the usual 4 to 5 cents off on Mon and Thursday's. This location sometimes has a flash sale of 10 cents off per litre so you have to watch for that! The only downside for this location is that it is located in a very busy parking lot located right next to a busy pub so the traffic in and out can sometimes be busy and congested. I would usually go to the location on Gateway Blvd in Edmonton but now that we live outside Sherwood Park this is a much more convenient and travelled by location for us.

My only qualm is that there are 3 pumps per each side, so you have to be good with parallel parking if the middle pump is free in your lane. The good thing about Costco is that it doesn't matter which side your fill tank is on because the pump hose can extend to the other side of your vehicle if needed. There's also no windshield wiping supplies at Costco gas pumps, I guess it keeps them efficient, but it's something I expect at any gas station. Otherwise it's an easy self serve with your Costco membership & MasterCard. Plus their gas prices seem to be one of the lowest in town! One suggestion I would make is that if you decide to fill up here, exit at the back of building to avoid the pedestrian traffic & the 2 way stop at the building's front entrance which takes forever to exit from.

A few weeks ago, there was a…read moreshutdown with the Shell Scotford refinery , and throughout the city, locations were running out of gasoline. I remember scrambling through 2 other locations before I found some here. Why go through all that trouble? Well I'm a motorhead and I need premium gasoline for my car, and when it comes down to premium fuel, I prefer Shell's V-Power formula. It cleans and protects your engine as you run it, as their gasoline blend contains a high concentration of nitrogen. Anyways, this location never seems to run out of gasoline, and there is never a long line up for their pumps either. I rarely have to wait whenever I'm at this location, and the payment inside is almost immediate. I find their store to be very small, with a very limited selection of snacks or magazines. I know I'm not shopping for either here, but it's something I noticed compared to their other locations. If I'm also in a rush and need my car washed, I know that this location usually do not have a long line up during the week days. The only problem, and perhaps flaw of their car wash design, is that there is usually a gigantic puddle, that is hard to get around, located right at the car wash exit. It can be a bit traumatizing, especially after washing your baby.
