First stop within the week of opening, fueled the car, and pump failed to give receipt. My major pet peeve is getting fuel at a self serve station and not getting a receipt, forcing me to go inside and wait on line. But I figured this was a new station, give them time to work out kinks. Went a few weeks later, same thing, different pump, but no receipt. Again, had to go inside and wait on line. Third visit, no receipt!! After waiting in line behind 3 customers to get my receipt, I commented to the sales associate "this is the third time I've been here, and all three times no receipts printed at the pumps". She responded, "Yes, that's common here, we don't refill the printers when they run out of paper". I swore I'd never go back. Fast forward 8 months, it was 94 degrees and humid on this July summer day, and my car was running on fumes as I was driving up Broad to turn at Thompson, and I thought, what the heck, the odds are with me that I will be able to self fuel and complete my transaction without a hitch. Unbelievably, a fourth visit and no receipt!! Batting 1000, I went inside. Due to the heat there was a line of probably 8 or 9 people getting slushies and tobacco, and I was really aggravated that I had to wait to obtain my receipt. Took me an extra 15 minutes to complete my fueling. Never again. Don't trust Racetrac to keep things in working order. The Mapco across the street has delivered receipts 100% of the times I've been there over the last 12 years, so it's a no-brainer and will be easy to be able to avoid RaceTrac for good.

Their quarter pound corn dogs are reasonable at $2.50 apiece. Doesn't sound like a great deal but theirs are cooked with huge franks that go a long way. It wasn't overcooked, they were fine. They regularly update their prices on food throughout the week. For example, they had to increase their any size sodas and Icees from 69 to 79 cents. To be fair, you really can't find anywhere that will sell you those products at those prices anymore. The staff are friendly and they get you taken care of quickly. The store seems clean. If you use cash to buy food, you may see a minor delay as the POS terminal requires a card to be inserted to open the cash drawer to give change. Despite this not being a street corner location due to the placement of a bridge, the design of the island pumps is well thought out and traffic moves efficiently.

I've enjoyed the food, the ambiance is you know, a gas station. But as for service, the folks are really helpful. Stop by here frequently. On several occasions, I have sampled a few of the fresh offerings. White Bison coffee is great. Surprisingly, their donuts rival some of the national and local donuts shops around here. Hoagies and burgers are prepared fresh - not sitting in some warming tray, and they are good. But, it is a gas station. Every time I have been there, employees have been super helpful in navigating the kiosk ordering station. Today, the lady practically ran the entire thing for me. Obviously meant for the "Grab and Go" crowd there is not much of a seating area, but a high table with a few chairs worked fine as I watched people come and go, or pump their gasoline. In an era of $5 meal deals due to burger price inflation, they have a very nice $6 meal that is more than competitive.
