I only stopped in here cause there is a mailbox on the side of Anaheim St as I had some envelopes to mail & had a 25.00 winning scratcher to redeem. Cashier was super nice and recommended that I get a different 10.00 scratcher cause another customer won 500.00 ten min prior to me coming in (always a min late and a dollar short lol). There is a much better Shell on Anaheim and Atlantic. This Shell is dirty and busted. Often times, the pumps dont work, they are dirty, or graffitied all over. You would expect a better station for such a high quality gas. They never ever ever have water and squeegee to help clean your windows. One of the cheapest Shell stations in the area. This shell is a little hidden if you are coming from downtown LB. You can't take the 710 north and exit because it will take you in the opposite direction of Shell. But if you are coming southbound, you can just exit off Anaheim, and it is right there. There are usually hobo's around asking for spare change. I usually go during the afternoon, I haven't had anyone bother me. read more

Been coming to this gas station for years and never had any issue until now. Cashier was this older man tonight with glasses--with very bad attitude. I stood out there for about 5mins in front the glass window and he walked into the cubicle and proceeded to count cigarettes. I was patience for about 1min and then decided to ask if he could help me. He sulked as if he didn't want to help me and told me he didn't see me which is a load of crap because how can you not see anyone at the window unless you really not paying attention (good thing the doors was lock because If this guy didn't see me at the window he probably won't see people stealing inside the store God forbid). I don't understand why they would ask you for your pin when doing a card transaction. This happened at night and They do not open the store. So you go to the window and the guy asks for the pin so he can swipe it and enter pin. That is not good at all. It's terrible actually. There's too many things that can happen by giving that type of confidential information. Why doesn't Shell look into this? I don't expect much from a gas station. However this gas station is just extreme and disgusting. Pump 5 handle wasn't working. I had to manually hold on to the pump through the entire fill up. The store is where I lost it. I wanted to see if they sold any protein bars. I was looking for one in particular the complete cookie ones. They had 3 flavors available but OMG there where a ton of flies in the merchant store. It was so disgusting!!! I don't understand how a business can have so many flies flying around. I was getting nauseous and passed on purchasing my complete cookie protein bar. I should have gone next door to chevron and pumped but it was busy. They really need to fix that issue. Cheapest gas on Anaheim Blvd. in the Downtown Long Beach area. Consistently lower by like 15 cents compared to the location on Atlantic. The area is a little more run down than other gas stations. One pesky young guy is always hanging around asking for money but he doesn't make you feel uncomfortable, in the sense that you fear for your safety. The attendant this last time was not too freindly but I caught her mid-bite into a Snickers so maybe it was just bad timing on my part. A little smile would be nice considering it was early in the afternoon. read more
