They handed me the screwdriver... and that was about the extent of the technical support. I kind of expected at least a small "need a hand with that?" but it never floated across the counter. A few days later I returned the part and ended up going somewhere else. I will say the young lady working there was an absolute delight and did what she could to help. The other two guys were busy joking and laughing, which honestly was pretty entertaining, but helping me didn't seem to make the to-do list that day. I'll give them another shot though... everyone deserves a second chance.

I work at a convenience store myself and love joking and laughing with people, so it is refreshing to see staff who bring that same positive energy. The selection of merchandise is great with plenty of options to choose from. Most of the team is warm and approachable. Only one blonde employee seems less engaging, often without a smile and very brief in conversation. Even so, the overall atmosphere remains pleasant. And the slushies... absolutely delicious. After feeding in $3 to get the process started, I discovered that there was absolutely no pressure to be had. I tried every setting available but there was no pressure. I switched the timer mechanism to off and the wash timer kept running. Resigned to being ripped off, I pulled out of the bay and started to drive off, when I noticed a couple of "emergency numbers" to call. I left a voice message relating how I had been ripped off and how I could urinate a better stream and was resigned to leave it at that. One of the owners returned my call and took great umbrage at my complaint. He informed that "I had to understand" that machinery can fail and malfunction and that over $1,000,000 had been spent in building his car wash. I did not accept his excuses and told him what I thought of him and his car wash and perhaps he should have purchased higher quality equipment so it would be more dependable. The owner blew up and got abusive, so I hung up on him and continued on my westward journey without a thought. The owner called back numerous times. I answered and then, once again, hung up on his vulgarity and told him I would pray for him. After not answering, he started texting me, I finally had to block the owner's number. All the owner needed to do was apologize for the failure of his equipment. But typical with businesses and their owners today, they are never wrong and can take no criticism. As they say, "Pride goeth before a fall". Had I owned this business, I would have apologized and sent the aggrieved a three dollar check or not returned the phone message. Happy trails......

I went here for an altenator replacement. Six and a half hour later they finally got the parts but…read moretold me I would have to pay $151 for a front end alignment because they needed to remove the rack and pinion assembly. They had a cheezy print out that said right hand drive below the picture. Fine if we were in Europe. They then recanted the alignment and finally did the work. A day and a half for a 3 hour tops job. They finally opened the hood to do the work and needed to disconnect some radiator hoses to do the work. What is so abysmal is that they returned my car to me with the radiator 4 quarts low and didn't say a word about it. They also left the did not reattatch the top shroud. Just left it loose in the engine compartment. Had I not checked the fluid before going to Temple I would of ended up with a burned out motor and or disable on the expressway. So if you are in need of some new muffler bearings go here. Otherwise I suggest you stay away and seek out a mechanic that knows what he is doing.

We searched Google for an auto repair shop in Lampasas and randomly picked L&H Automotive. I was so glad we chose that shop. We called and told them that we were waiting for our tow to show up and we'd be there as soon as we could. We arrived at 5:05 p.m. on a Friday and I'm sure everyone was ready to go home and start the weekend. I can't tell you how impressed I was that three or four guys stayed and worked on our car for over two and a half hours. The repair, while temporary, allowed us to make our vacation rental and get back home to Benbrook TX. This was not the easy repair you would want to see after closing hours. Had they not done this we would have had to stay in Lampasas all weekend, lose our cabin rental which was non-refundable and a good part of Monday. The courtesy and respect they showed my wife and I is something that we will never forget. While no one likes it when their car breaks down, and especially knowing what is involved to getting the A/C compressor and related parts of the system back up and running. We considered ourselves very blessed to have come across this amazing group of guys. It's no wonder Jay was voted best mechanic of Lampasas county for 2021. If we lived in this great community I know where I would be taking our autos for servicing and repair. You guys rock, and Sandy the dog does too.

What is memorable about this place was the cashier. He was funny and friendly. He noticed that I had trouble finding what I was looking for (spicy peanuts) and directed me to the best location in the store to find it. We didn't visit the restrooms, but the main area was clean. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is they didn't have coke zero.
