Their prices are about the average for the area, always the same as the Shell and a little cheaper than the BP located further east on Grand Ave. The attendants inside are always nice no matter who's working. I must admit I have a soft spot for their coffee even though it's loaded with sugar. It used to be 89 cents no matter what size you got and they always have the reward card that gets you a free coffee after buying 5-6. I think the price has since gone up, but it''s still a lot cheaper than Starbucks.

My husband is a type 1 diabetic who had unfortunately had a string of bad luck trying to get home. His phone wasn't working, his transportation had left and he had already walked over a mile trying to get home. Once arriving at BP he explained to the cashier he just needed to use the phone as they didn't provide customer Internet access and told her of his diabetes and feeling low on sugar. Tho he had 10 bucks in his pocket and was trying to call a cab the cashier today took the time out her her day as well as cash from account and paid for an uber to get my husband home to me just in the knick of time as his sugar was falling fast. I don't know her name or what she looks like, but, who ever you are, thank you! ..from the depths of my heart, thank you for your random act of kindness that prevented a potential tragedy. With the way things are in this world today, its truly amazing to know not all is lost and there are still others out there that are willing to share and help a stranger for no other reason than they could. Your a hero today ma'am his blood sugar was 54 once he got here. Again, thank you. To the managers at this location, in my opinion this woman deserves a raise and promotion. It's people like her, that are historically overlooked and underrated. Shes a true gem! Have you ever actually looked at the can when you buy from these refrigerated sections at gas stations? They are often caked in dust and grime right on top where you put your mouth, seriously it's disgusting. I always wipe them down anyway, but they keep their storage clean here and that shows a level of care you won't get at other local stations. The down side is how busy this place gets, and how poorly the staff seem to handle it. It's frustrating when a line is so long it's extending into the aisles, people can't browse the items and often cant tell where the line actually ends. To summarize they have a solid selection and prices, they also offer a rewards card I believe, but are dragged down by poor customer service. An extra mention, they have a redbox outside for those looking to rent movies.

And the air machine is often broken. They also don't know how to crank through a long line at the counter. Then there was the time the cashier was yelling at a customer in front of a line of at least 12 of us--and she was in the wrong on top of it! This chain could really benefit from visiting some Quik Trip stores in St. Louis & Kansas City to see how well run a convenience store can be. This location is still the worst. Went there because I needed to go to the nearby post office. Long line inside and they don't know how to move through it. Thornton's needs to take some scouting trips to the Missouri Quik Trip stores to learn how to run a good convenience store.

There where a couple people in line behind me. So I grabbed my change and walked outside. As I I was putting it in my wallet I realized I was given 2$ back. So I went back in to tell the clerk the amount was wrong. He insisted I only gave him a 10$ bill. I told him I only had 20$'s because the day before the ATM at the bank only issued 20$ so having a 10$ bill was impossible. He told me I was incorrect and to go home. I told him to count the drawer and review the camera and to take my number. He did. I received a call from the manager and he said to come back and they would give me the correct amount. THEY DID TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT. when it comes to being responsible and communicating the management did the right thing refunded the correct amount. These are good people making an honest living. No apologies from the same clerk who made mistake and personally handed me the money back. I will continue to to business and I am very pleased with the outcome. Thank you management.
