Put the label on the plastic bag and drop it off. I never look for FedEx so I had no clue where a FedEx store is. Google FedEx and lots of hits pop up. I was looking for a store so I could make sure I was affixing the label correctly and closing up the plastic mailer. Simple right? Several google hits were at Walgreens. I called the South Memorial Parkway Walgreens and Nettie answered the phone. I asked about FedEx and she said there was a drop off at her store and if I had a box and a label she could help me. Box, I had a plastic mailer. I didn't put the label on nor did I seal the envelope. I thought I would let someone who was familiar with the packaging guide me. When I arrived, Nettie smiled big recognizing she had just spoken with me. I gave her the label and plastic mailer and within a few minutes she had me hooked up for automated text updates, placed my label inside a plastic cover that she affixed to my plastic mailer and closed up my mailer. I was in and out in a flash which I greatly appreciated as I was about to be late for a termite inspection. Many many thanks to Nettie for her invaluable help. Many thanks to Walgreens for hiring a sweet young lady who was smiling and helping customers. I had to wait my turn and she cheerfully waited on other customers. A few months later none of the printers at any of the pumps worked which annoyed my husband greatly. The manager knew the grumpy guy standing in line was there to get a copy of his receipt. Many months go by, more like 6-7, we stop by and the printer at the pump printed a receipt. He almost did a happy dance. They found someone to fix the printing problem..we hope! The printers have worked the past 3 visits. Hubs was looking for Abita beer called Alpha Gator. The store clerk was able to locate it. Another near happy dance moment. If you are in need of gas, the outdoor printers work here. They also sell craft beers and today is $6 pepperoni pizza day.

It's known as "the Exchange" or "Redstone Arsenal Exchange Services," or "Army and Air Force Exchange." It's open Monday through Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and closed on the weekends. It's sort of a one stop shop as it's a gas station, convenience store with a small liquor store (must have Military ID to purchase liquor, beer, wine, etc.), and smaller versions (versus the regular sized stores) of both Burger King and Subway. Unlike the Express with Class Six on Action Drive, the selection of liquors at the AAFES Express is much smaller and I've never seen the AAFES Express host an event like an on site wine retailer. I've eaten at both the Burger King and Subway, which can get really crowded, and purchased a few items at the convenience store. In the past I've purchased gas here, too. It's nice, in a pinch, to be able to pop over to the AAFES Express and get a sub sandwich or something from Burger King if you forgot your lunch and/or missed the cafeteria operating hours in your building.
