The restrooms are also pretty clean which is huge considering the traffic they get. Got there about 6am a past morning and had a coffee and breakfast tacos on their patio table outside. Pretty relaxing even with the adding morning traffic. The breakfast tacos are pretty bomb. They offer made in house I assume real scrambled eggs with choice of bacon, sausage, or brisket. Loyalty/rewards system has apparently been disabled at this location…read more I've been coming to this BP location for some time, but I've become increasingly frustrated with an ongoing issue involving the station's loyalty/rewards system. For the past couple of months, I have been unable to use my BP loyalty ID at the pump to earn points or receive my Prime member discount. The pump simply does not allow me to apply my loyalty information. I've also tried using the Earnify app as a workaround, which previously worked, but that option is now blocked at this location as well. I spoke with the cashier about the issue, but they were unable to assist or provide a solution. I also submitted a complaint directly through BP's website, but after some initial communication, the issue has essentially gone stagnant with no resolution. I understand that technical issues happen, but when a station prevents customers from using advertised loyalty benefits for months and neither the employees nor BP customer support can resolve the issue, it becomes extremely frustrating. I'm not expecting special treatment--I simply want to be able to use the rewards and discounts that I'm eligible for when purchasing gas here. Hopefully someone from BP or management sees this and actually looks into why loyalty IDs and Earnify are being blocked at this particular location.

It's clean, spacious, well-lit at night, and the card readers work perfectly. They always have good prices on gas and their pumps are faster than other places. The convenience mart is bursting with a selection of salty snacks (lots of spicy stuff), roller grill items like hot dogs and taquitos, a fully stocked condiment area, and a wraparound cooler packed with 99¢ cans of Arizona tea, Powerade, pop, energy drinks and more. I downloaded the Thorntons fuel rewards app, which saves me 5¢ on every gallon. They'll toss in a deal every week, like BOGO roller grill items, or $1 off a large bag of chips. The self-checkout registers speed up the gas-and-go process, plus staff have a great attitude and like to chat with customers. * TL;DR * Oooohhhhh and I burn, Fuel is pumping engines, Quench my thirst with gas-oliiiiiiiiine! This is an excellent Thorntons. I'd recommend that anyone traveling along I-55 pull off at the exit for Weber Rd to stop here for fuel and refreshments. There was puddles of urine all over the floor in the stalls & balled up toilet paper SOAKED in urine. It reeked of urine, and you guessed it; there was urine all over the only two toilet seats. I can't imagine how clean the handles on the coolers and front door are, or if they are cleaned EVER.

I got the vanilla, and silly me, assumed I knew and added extra shots of vanilla to get the right taste. Note to self: taste test and THEN add accordingly. Extraordinary sweetness aside, the coffee was really cheap, even cheaper than McD's iced coffee, so the price was right. Any pit stop has the accompanying bathroom break and this was no exception. The bathroom was large and clean enough. The new car scent air freshener tree taped to the wall really added to the class.

I only point that all out so I can say with some authority that after visiting Speedway locations in about 8 states, this is the most incredible station I've visited. It's in a great location (if you happen to live in Plainfield, which I don't) right on the Lincoln Highway (if you happen to know about that.) The station is huge with more pumps than I could count and a full truck stop area for 18 wheelers. The store is enormous with more selection than any Speedway I've visited before. The most unique feature of this particular store is a grill. Yes, a grill. Most Speedway locations have pizza and sandwiches, along with a roller grill and so does this one, but it has a grill! Food is cooked to order, which you place on a kiosk workstation. The computer gives you a confirmation which you take to the register. Once your order is paid for, the confirmation becomes a receipt and you simply wait for your number to be called. Incidentally, this Speedway had the lowest gas price I paid in the full length of Illinois on my trip. Yup, I'm a fan!

I've had a few days to cool down, though I'm still plenty ticked that this gas station duped me (and countless others) with fraudulent prices.  This Speedway is on S Lincoln Highway in Plainfield, IL but there's no reason you need to care about that. For at least a week, their billboard a few miles south on I-55 showed regular unleaded at $3.59/gal.  In reality, the price at the pump was $4.13/gal, a full 54¢ more than advertised.  How can that be so blatantly wrong??? 1 of 2 things happened: someone was asleep at the switch/sucks at their job/doesn't care (more likely), or they deliberately posted lower prices to lure customers in (less likely, more concerning).  Either way, it's pretty horseshit. The convenience mart was stocked out of cans of Arizona green tea, which I'd never seen before.  The counter was abandoned for a long time, and when a worker finally appeared, the guy was dropping stuff left & right and was clearly stoned out of his mind.  WTF? * TL;DR * This Speedway gas station and IN-convenience mart can suck a big one. I was so pissed about the gas bait-and-switch I emailed Speedway corporate to let them know what's up.  Wouldn't you know it, 2 days later they "fixed the glitch" and prices on the electronic billboard are now synced correctly.  Lotta good that does me now.....
