Happy story here. I…read morelive in Austin, land of water restrictions. I try to water-conserve, so I don't wash my car nearly enough. Not pretty! I decided in a very last minute guilt-ridden way to wash the car at my local Chevron gas station/7-Eleven one evening last week. Picked the $12 "The Works" option and drove through. The next day on a sunny morning, my car didn't look too clean. I could see where the scrubbers had struck and where they had missed. They had missed a lot. I was already on my way to work with a busy week ahead. Then the hottest day of the year happened - 107 degrees F. (No, that's not the heat index). Two days later, it rained lightly. My windows now had jagged curtains of dirt plus speckled polkadots of rain+dirt. That's when I discovered that the heat had evaporated my windshield washer fluid. I've been pumping gas at this Chevron station for decades. So I headed over there, plotting to "borrow" the windshield cleaner blade for temporarily improved window visibility. That's when I remembered that I still had the receipt for the car wash. I walked in asking for the manager, and Ryan responded with a "that would be me." When Ryan saw the jagged dirt curtain on my back window, he handed me a coupon for their best car wash, the Extreme, but before he let me go, he went to his own car and hand washed the back window with a clean towel and glass cleaner, explaining that the scrubbers have trouble reaching under the spoiler. Excellent service. Nice guy. Clean car. Happy customer.

I've been staying at the super 8 next door so without a kitchen I go to the convenience store and try to buy some of the hot foods that they have I've done it more than three or four times now and every single time that I do the individual working behind the counter there a man I don't know he must be Filipino or Asian of some sort literally sees me screams at me and tells me to go away in a rude tone and I have never done anything wrong I always come in spend good money and I don't do anything that's detrimental to the store. I don't know where he gets off acting the way he does because the fact that he has the audacity to treat a pain customer like that is so mind-blowing I can't believe it. I pray to God that you guys get rid of him because he's seriously ruining your business. My experience is so poor I wanted to put no stars but it won't let me move forward without putting one. Because let me tell you they do not deserve a single Star based on the way the idiot behind the kitchen counter a ta.

We've also gone for smoked turkey for Thanksgiving, which is delicious. The "original" bbq sauce is my favorite. That said here's what I tried and the ratings for each 1. Turkey. 5/5 great smoky flavor, juicy an incredibly tasty 2 pulled pork 4/5. This also tastes very good it has some sort of sauce in it that I can't quite place. Doesn't have the same smoky flavor as the other meats but still very good do not hesitate to order thi 3. Moist brisket. 6/5. Yes I know that's not possible in a five out of five scale but this brisket is fantastic. This is exactly what I was looking for when seeking Texas barbecue in Austin. Just order it... You are welcome 4 . Baked beans 3/5. Not exactly what I was expecting. Have a nice taste but definitely not what I've had from other barbecue places in Texas. Not have that smoky or meaty flavor. 5. Creamy corn 5/5. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. This is done perfectly 6. Potato salad 4/5. Very tasty and very filling. But definitely fall short in comparison to the creamy corn along with the turkey and the brisket. All in all an absolute wonderful meal at Rudy's Friendly people and delicious food what more can you ask for... It's the Texas way
