Exxon - Convenience store 1.18.2025

Exxon

(2 reviews)

Exxon in Carlsbad needs to drop their prices down…read more They're in a prime location with travelers, tourists, and locals passing by continuously - I get it. But, Eddy and Lea Counties are two of the top oil and gas-producers in New Mexico and the United States. Why must we pay high prices for it still? I will complain about this forever especially after having family members, including my dad, in the industry for a combined years of experience of well over 100. They all talk about how ridiculous us desert rats overpay for these items. Fuel prices on 1.18.2025 were: Regular unleaded = $3.10 (per gallon) Extra unleaded = $3.40 Supreme unleaded = $3.70 There was no gas attendant. If you have problems at the self-pump station, you must go inside the convenience shop. Trashy parking lot. Get some better trash cans. Need parking and curb lines repainted. The whole town does actually.

On 3/22/2019, I attempted to put unleaded fuel into my vehicle but the pump immediately stopped…read more However, the pump did not stopped, before charging my credit card .23 cents. Upon mentioning the problem to one of the store clerks, she said they are out of unleaded fuel. I informed her, "there are no signs posted that you are out of unleaded fuel and I was charged .23 cents." At that point, another clerk responded that the charge was from a pervious customer. That's not possible because the pump reset once I inserted my card and activated the pump. The clerks continued to get more defensive and verbally aggressive, as the conversation continued. At this point, I requested to speak with a manager to resolve the issue. The clerks refused to give me his name and a telephone number. Finally, one of the clerks provided me with his name and a telephone number. Furthermore, think of how many customers attempted to purchase unleaded fuel and were charged a small fee for services not provided. A simple solution would have been to place a note over the unlead fuel button that read "out of unleaded."
