I have to say that when I walked onto the lot yesterday, I did not expect much. I had been in a couple of times since moving to Carlsbad 3 years ago. Both times, the staff had zero interest in selling us anything, even though we were ready to purchase. In those cases, we ended up buying elsewhere. Recently, we had been looking for another vehicle, and noticed that they had one in our price range like we were interested in. Walked up to the dealership, and there were a couple of salesmen sitting outside on a break. DJ (Donel) was very friendly, laid back, and not pushy at all. He showed us the vehicle, let us take it on a test drive, etc. We decided it was what we wanted, so we ran the numbers and came to an agreement. There had been a warning light come on in the car when we drove it. The guys in the shop could not get it fixed, and the manager was concerned about selling us the car with a problem. He and DJ noticed that one with less miles had just come in, but was still being checked in. They got it and pulled it around, and it was even better shape with about 1/4 of the miles on it we were looking at initially. They were able to sell it to us for about the same price! Very pleased with the dealership. They treated us well, and there was no pressure. Good job, Carlsbad Ford. read more

Dropped my work truck off for lots of things wrongand let them have it for 7 weeks. Luckily I had plenty of time.... Just enough time for them to steal the company gas card out of my truck and a large brand new tide pod laundry detergent out of the backseat. Keep in mind all they were supposed to do was detail the vehicle on the inside. Oh yeah the check engine light came back on the first day. It's an old truck but that still doesn't mean the mechanic/detail crew needs to be stealing anything out of anyone's vehicle!!!!! Call the service advisor about it and I got a "sorry" ..... If you decide to use this place, lock everything up or take it with you because they have many sticky fingers in that place. I'm going to tell my oil and gas company not to be using that establishment. And n we use them a lot. read more

I called Carlsbad Ford Dealership today.Talked with Tyler Dominguez . Explained my needs, my limits, and urgency because our van's transmission went out. Our only transportation and business depended on this vehicle. Within a few hours Tyler had the perfect truck, excellent quality, perfect for our business needs. He prepared the contract, financing and delivered the truck to my home 36 miles from dealership. Melisa handled the legal work efficiently, pleasantly friendly and professional. Heaven delivered the Truck, got my signatures and was really nice. Best vehicle purchase experience I ever made in my life and I'm 74 and have bought a lot of vehicles. Highly recommend this team for your vehicle needs. Outstanding Dealership. Shirley Murphy. Artesia, NM. read more

While traveling from CA to Georgia our F-250 developed a coolant leak, we managed to make it to Carlsbad New Mexico. Took our truck into Carlsbad Ford early in the morning and met with Ralph in the service department. We explained we were traveling and Ralph took it from there. Our truck was repaired the same day and were able to continue on our vacation. Ralph was super helpful and polite as was Troy who shuttled us back and forth from our hotel. And the technician who repaired our truck somehow performed magic, super work! I cannot say enough good things about this group. They reflect well upon the dealership!!!! read more

I had a problem with my truck while on vacation. Called these folks and they got me in right away. Talked with the mechanic and found out I had a unknown power draw but that it could take upwards of a week to find it. Wasn't staying long enough to do that so he told me how to do a simple work around till my mechanic could take of it. Best of all this was NO CHARGE. the work environment was very fun and upbeat as well. These are some very lovely folks. read more

Very upset, they told us we need a new transmission in our 6.7 F350 when it only need the transmission filter changed. We were having an issue shifting 1st thing in the morning only, and it didn't happen each time. We read that Ford recommends the 1st transmission fluid and filter change is 150,000 and we had 155,000 miles on the truck. We made an appointment with Ford quick lane to have the transmission serviced . We dropped the truck off first thing in the morning, and by 4 pm we hadn't heard from them so we called and they said they hadn't done anything because they are waiting for the service side to run a diagnostic on the truck because they were sure something was wrong with our transmission, and if they did anything they could cause more issues. Then about an hour later they called and said the diagnostic showed no issues, but they wouldn't work on the truck. They made an appointment with service for us 2 weeks later. The day we dropped the truck off with service they read more

We were visiting the area and had a tire issue at about 5:00 PM, called Carlsbad Ford and although they close at 6:00, they said come in and ask for Caroline and she will take care of us. When we arrived about 5:15, Caroline said they would take care of it and stay late if needed. They addressed the tire issue and changed our oil even though it was well past closing. Eric was the mechanic who stayed late to take care of us, he also had a great attitude. Highly recommend Carlsbad Ford, especially Caroline, and Eric!!!! read more

Bought a truck from them in June, 2018. As of September, I still can't get a license plate. They won't send the required paperwork that the DMV is requesting. If you want to pay a lot of money for a truck that you can't legally drive, then spend days at your local DMV trying to do what you paid the dealer to do, buy from these people. Now I'm going to have to hire an attorney, even more time and money out of my pocket, to fix this train wreck. read more

Where to start on this one? The only reason I am giving a star, is that a can't give 0 star. The salesman was great, Anthony Santos, but after him everything went to hell in a hand basket. Finance mess up my deal, I had to go back and sign another contract, because they did know what deals were for the month they were in. Romero was a real smart a$$! I told him you realize I get a survey from Ford, his response, we would rather not sell you a vehicle in that case. No one would ever return my calls. I had to drive 3 hours round trip to resign the contract, at least they gave me some gas, but my time was wasted. Next they kept my tag, messed things with my local tag office. I had to go file a lost tag report at the police station, so I could get issued a tag after 2 and a half months. Finally I called ford to issue me a survey, and they stated they would file the complaint to the dealership and have the general manager resend it. The general manager, Jamie Hanway, was supposed to call me. You guessed it, I never got that call. This is a sad reflection on Krumland Auto Group. I drove all the way down there to Carlsbad from Roswell, because Roswell Ford didn't even want to help me, that salesman was worthless. And yes Roswell Ford is part of Krumland Auto Group. This was my third vehicle from them. Customer service has gone to ! read more

This ford dealership was the worse I have ever been to! Bought a car for my son who is in the military, they told us would take a month to get his out of state plates, this was in February! He finally got them in May! When trying to find the money we gave them for his plates they had no idea where it was, took us over a month to get that! When I would call to talk to a manager only got voice mail and never returned a call. The car was filthy when I went to pick it up, took it back to have it cleaned and was still filthy! Bad service all around. read more

Prompt service and friendly staff at Service Dept. Although this time was just for oil change and tire rotation, this group has really come through for me. Major engine repair right before starting a new job and the Carlsbad Ford Service Department made sure that my truck was repaired by Saturday.
