Remember the good old days when gas stations had ringer hoses? You would think that with the modern technology and sensor capabilities, it wouldn't be rocket science to manage to get a worker out of the building to help you pump the gas. I've stopped counting how many times I've tried to get gas from the station at 54th Ave. and Kerr Street in Vancouver and given up and left because no one came outside. I've even seen staff watch me pull up and then they turn around and carry-on chatting with their coworker. I have stupidly kept trying, only it's conveniently located for me. After sitting for a few minutes, I'm quite happy to leave and spend my money elsewhere (ironically I was going to apply for PetroCan credit card, but I won't be now). Today I did an experiment and waited for 10 minutes. Apparently there was only one guy working the pumps and he was busy with the propane service. When a company is routinely understaffed, that tells me one thing - that that company is being cheapskates and does not care about the customer. I'm done with this place.

Good thing that there were no line up. The issue is that it is not easy to get to this gas station if you are heading south. Well I was heading west so I managed to drive into the station. No line up. Gas as 209.9 everywhere and it was 207.9. Plus I have a CIBC credit so I get 2.5 cents off. So it was 205.4 for me. Gas has gotten so expensive.

You get a $2 off any car wash when you get gas. And you can add the car wash option at the pump. Without the discount the basic car wash starts at $13.99 or $15.99. I remembered it being quite steep. The price chart is available at the cashier and I forgot to take a picture of that. The wash is pretty good and I can see the dust and grime being washed away by the high pressured water. I think the front of my car is cleaner than the rest. I've gotten gas here before and it's quite the usual process. If you're collecting pc points, I find it's better to get your card scanned at the store. Somehow my points tend not to show up when I do it at the pump. Maybe it's just my card. Location is quite convenient too. Near the willingdon and kingsway junction.

When you gas-up you get a $2 discount on any kind of carwash you want,aside from not so expensive the result is good,and one more advantage is they are open 24 hours. Good location along kingsway near metrotown. Most of the time there is a line up in here that only shows a lot of patrons are happy with the result. You're open 24 hours, which is a rarity in this neck of the woods. Plus you have that really nice dude working there who likes to pet the dogs & give them treats. But now, I'm moving. Our imminent separation has given me the opportunity to really take a good hard look at your offerings. WestChev, I'm gonna level with you. All too often, you're out of the premium grades of gasoline. With no sign on the pump! Now this may not seem like a big deal to you, but my car likes the expensive crap. Most importantly (and you may want to sit down for this) your pumps are incredibly slow. It's like my car is coupling with a sloth. Pick up the speed, man, we've all got things to do! Finally, your snack selection is the pits. I may see you from time to time, you know, if I'm in the neighborhood. But for now, we're done.

I politely explained the situation and asked for a refund, showing my receipt and my 14km mileage remaining. The clerk decided to shout at me, accuse me of theft and whatnot. I filed a Police report. We still do this for theft, right? Do NOT recommend. Instead, go to a gas station that gives you the gas you paid for, and one with staff that don't accuse you of theft right off the bat, with zero provocation.
