At first, we were thrilled to see a caprese sandwich in the Husdon Nonstop (self-checkout). Refreshing and not too heavy. Perfect! (Aug 2026) We were slightly less thrilled by airport pricing. $15. We were unhappy with the store attendant. If an old fuddy-duddy (it wasnt me :-) is having trouble with the scanner at the self-checkout register, try "May I help you with that?" We literally got, "Just scan it and pay already!" We were startled the next day to see a charge from "Amazon" on the credit card! Research revealed that Hudson Nonstop uses Amazon services. OK. The store could have saved us some alarm by posting that info at checkout. We moved from "peeved" to "one-star angry" when we saw a second identical charge. Yes, we were double-charged! While we wait to get it corrected in a couple of days, in the meantime we will low-star Hudson Nonstop. Did we double-scan while being scolded? To be fair, that's more likely than any mischief by the annoyed attendant. But overall, one-star also seems fair.

Even though it was warmed up, and not toasted, the sandwich was still cold in the middle of it. For $15.00, you could order at other locations and get a lot more food options. This Walgreens is about two years old. Originally it seemed an odd placement with another Walgreens…read moreon the same street less than a mile west. But the goal here was being the last "store" before arriving at Midway Airport if you're coming from Chicago and taking Cicero avenue. And their goal has paid off as this location is very busy while not affecting the customer flow of the other Walgreens down the street. The design of this location is that of all the Walgreens built in the last few years with cosmetics, seasonal, and food goods aisles all facing the traditional Walgreens direction but all other aisles near the back half facing "sideways". It seems done that way to force more customers past the cold beer and refrigerated drinks or frozen treats. The main register area has a large queue line that still sometimes isn't big enough. The photo kiosk area is also connected to the register area allowing the photo employee able to walk a few feet to run a register during the busy moments. The pharmacy has the new style queue where you first check in on the computer to pick up your order and then you wait in the small waiting room for your name to be called. This could use clearer signage as many customers are really confused about what to do. The pharmacy also has a drive thru that exits you out to the side street on the west side of the building. There is a fair selection of fresh fruits and veggies along with a coffee station. This matches most of the newer Walgreens locations. The parking lot is not huge but has very wide driving lanes to allow for easy movement of cars coming and going. As you exit the parking lot at either exit you MUST turn right. This is a result of building on a very busy and wide intersection. Customer service here seems friendly enough. There are usually enough employees to ask for assistance within the aisles and the register staff usually moves people out quickly. The manager is often found near the entrance either behind the register counter or just outside the counter greeting customers entering the store.

I am forced to come to this location due to being the nearest since the destruction of my regular Walgreens. But you will wait 20 minutes in drive thru for medications, even if you are the only one in line. I just don't get it. I mean, having a drive thru is a privilege here, but 20 minutes wait time? And this is the 3rd time this has happened. I'd like to believe it's busy, but it isn't. The pharmacy just doesn't seem to have it together. I go inside and once again, the pharmacy is not busy but you wait so long just to pick up a prescription is not a good thing. When I ask the pharmacy what is with the long wait, they usually say its that we are shorthanded, but again I see that's not the case. Sorry to say this but I can't wait for my Walgreens to re-open as they are scheduled to do so, although it taking a very long time (the irony). But I will be honest, this location, although slow in the pharmacy, still has many items that are essential. Its very well kept and for the most part the employees are kind, BUT SLOW. Again, I don't usually post the negative, but I am compelled to keep my honesty when it comes to YELP.
