We parked on the Auto side so no idea where the truckers area is but I've never seen so many gas pumps and they were occupied for the most part. #59 was our spot. Oh and there's electric car recharging stations too! Now what stands out most is how much self-service is centric. Employees are present and very helpful, happy and friendly! You can taste test the brisket, fudge and jerky so don't be shy; I sure wasn't! It was all so delicious! There's anything you could want to eat, pickup for the road or drink including a cappuccino! There's a full self-service coffee spot, complete with milk variety, creamers, sugar and plenty of coffee pots brewing! There's ICEE flavors I never heard of as well. There are fresh sandwiches made to serve, packaged sandwiches and pastries! Nevermind the merchandise on hand! Forget something at home, you name it, you'll find it! Oh and the restrooms... such a clean, well stocked and spacious place. Outside of getting some reasonable gas in our vicinity, I got some fudge (PB/Chocolate, Butter Pecan, Rocky Road), warm glazed almonds and a cup of cappuccino! The fudge is so good! The $3.99 cappuccino I fixed up by adding my favorite syrups!

The cashier pulled a ticket out of the garbage can and tried to tell me my ticket was claimed already. It wasn't my ticket in the garbage. I saw the printer print off a winning receipt and he stuck the ticket in the basket with the other winners and only handed me back my losing tickets. I was denied access to the ticket he tore in half as well when I asked for it seeing as I play the second chance tickets on the NC Lottery App. I'm at a loss for what to do about this situation and feel absolutely mortified that I was treated in this manner. I've never had any problems at this location before but yesterday was different. I hope to have luck being in contact with someone higher up in the chain of command but I'm not sure if I will seeing as he may have given me false information claiming I could "come in Monday and speak with him". I would hope that the evidence isn't done away with by then. We will see.

I asked the dude about the beer and he just said "dont go to the grocery store!" Seriously...they carry growlers of regional craft breweries...they have some of the best craft brewers in stock that produce in the nation...like Bells. They also had a 12 pack of a rare produced and hardly distributed coffee porter from Highland Brewing company in Asheville. This person/owner/proprietor knows his beer! I don't buy the gas because the company that produced it ruined the Gulf of Mexico with the usual lip service to our law. Switch gas folks!!!

Far and away the best beer selection in WNC (West of Asheville). Tons of local stuff, all of the growlers you want, plus lots and lots of interesting beers from across the country and world. It's a very large lot so there aren't a lot of waiting or confusion of entering and exiting. The older couple that operate this location are amazing folks. They decorate the place for every season and holiday. They both are so extremely friendly and helpful. They give my doggies treats too!

It's only about a mile from I-26 / US 74. If coming from the highway, take exit 33 for NC 191 / Blue Ridge Parkway. On a Sunday morning around 11am, this gas station and convenience store were busy with a variety of customers including families with children and out-of-towners like us. We even ran into our Airbnb hosts. I guess this place is befitting of its name. I'd never heard of the Hot Spot chain before this visit. At the time of writing this review, there are about 40 locations in the Carolinas. They're mostly in South Carolina, with multiple locations in the greater Greenville, Spartanburg, and Asheville areas. In North Carolina, I spend most of my time in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) and Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point). There are no Hot Spots in those areas. I pass through Greenville and Spartanburg regularly on my trips to and from Georgia. However, I almost always fill up at a QuikTrip along I-85. It looks like there are only a couple Hot Spots along I-85 on that stretch. This Hot Spot has eight pumps. Apart from the branding, I can't say too much separates this place from other gas stations and convenience stores. It's run-of-the-mill, but also A-OK. I'd fill up here again. The price for premium fuel was in line with other more expensive gas stations like BP and Shell. The property felt clean and safe enough.
