Store #234 · I have been patron of Love's Truck stops for years when I take road trips but now not so sure. I stopped by this truck stop and bought some items and used my debit card. Forty minutes later my bank sends me a message that my card has been hacked into and someone tried using it at an Ace Hardware Store in Oak Book, Illinois for $831.00. This place needs to have their financial electronic system fixed or upgraded. From now on if go to any Love's it will be cash only.

The items were fresh and they kept refilling them as they ran out- which seems impossible with the sheer number of people grabbing them. The standout for me however, was the milk chocolate peanut butter buc-ee logo chocolate bar. It was pure joy! The absolute best thing I had eaten in ages when it comes to chocolate. We came during breakfast and we only got to try the brisket taco, tater tots, and Dr Pepper slushie but the taco alone was phenomenal. They had fresh brisket that they cut and then made the tacos right in front of us. If you're able to grab one of the hot and freshly cut brisket tacos for breakfast they are so juicy and good!! The rest of the store is amazing too! Of course we couldn't leave without a couple of souvenirs like every flavor of the jerky, Buc-ee's plushie keychain, pen and magnet. Everything was surprisingly affordable for branded merch! The staff were also very friendly and helpful even though there were so many customers. Definitely a great attraction and would come again!

Great Flying J Travel Center when driving to and from Houston!…read more This location is about an hour out of downtown Houston and has amazing gas prices. If you travel a lot I highly recommend joining their Flying J point program and downloading their app because you always get all sorts of freebies. Anyhow! This specific location has a Dennis inside the store, as well as a Dunkin' Express for those coffee fanatics out there. They also have a FedEx drop-off box location on the right hand side of the building. When visiting keep in mind that they do have two separate entrances for car and truck. They sale Big Shot!…read more Can I end the review there? Probably not. Okay, this is a run of the mill, found almost at the corner of an interstate, small town convenience store. Gas is competitively priced because there are gas stations on both sides of the interstate, and it is major brand gas, Exxon. There is a hot food place inside that seemingly serves fried chicken, various Mexican food staples, as well as donuts. None of this, to me, warrants this place getting a fourth star. I will eventually try that stuff, but for now, it held no importance to my soul! What made me give this place a fourth star? This slightly dingy convenient store did something special to earn this extra star? Yes they did. Lo and Behold, when walking through the front door, if you make a right turn, and go to the drink refrigerator all the way to the back...and view the drinks...there is love in the cooler. At first you will not see it. Those international brands have a way of making sure they get top billing and shelving. Look at the bottom of the refrigeration unit...magic happens...they sale Big Shot cold drink (Soda, cola, soft drink, insert your term here.)! Why is that important you may ask? Well, being a NOLA native, and considering that is a drink that is made in New Orleans, sometimes you just need a taste of home to get you by in the new land! I wish they had it in the 2 liter variety, but I will settle for 24 ounces love, $1 at a time! Multiple flavors of tongue love made a fat man happy! This alone will allow this place a forth star. Today, as I mentioned to the person in the counter, he said: "It's not truth". Basically I was called a liar. Perhaps if they leaned some manners and got off their lazy added, they wouldn't need to be so irresponsible and disrespectful with their clients. On the drive to College Station we sometimes take the back roads, and when you're just about to cross Interstate 10 in the middle of nowhere, you'll find this gas station which I thought would mean that they would have really cheap gas, but to be perfectly honest it was more expensive than the cheaper places down the road in Katy, and also more expensive than Buc-ee's. So I don't think there's anything really special about this gas station, except if you're about to run out of gas in the middle of nowhere about 10 miles west of Katy, then you'll be glad that it's here, and the convenience store of course is overpriced, but what do you expect from a Chevron.
